I've been tea/coffee dying paper for ever and though I put 4/5 sheets in the pan at a time, I wouldn't think of putting the amount in that you do - brilliant and time saving! I also pop mine in the oven but try and put a few sheets in at a time, now I'll be putting them in as you do!. Brilliant video and will save me soooo much time - thank you very much :-) x
What temp do you set the oven at? and how long does it take to dry? I have been dipping one at a time and Whew! takes forever, so going to give this a go....TFS
Now this is the good stuff, I love all the variation, I really dont like uniformity too much especially if youre making things that are unique xxx Thanks so much
Thanks for posting this! I watched a few videos of people dying one page at a time and I was like, "nope!" I planned to just try your method myself and see what happens, but I was glad to see that my idea works!
I'm happy I found your video. I don't have room or patience to do that many sheets at one time. I wanted to dye papers a few days ago and didn't because I could only do a few at a time. Your way is awesome. I can't wait to try this. Thank you for sharing...:)
I just made some, I was thinking that you had to soak you paper overnight and boy was I surprised when I started watching videos. I had dyed a lot of paper and so I turned on my oven and started the drying. Some of the paper burnt on the edges, they were ripped and it was only 2 pieces but it took me over an hour but I have lots of paper done.
Hi! I have a canvas sketchbook that I’ve been painting..... and I forgot to about aging the paper before I painted it soooooo do you have any ideas or tips on what i should do?
I have managed to put it through the printer as is before but the best way would be to tape some masking tape to the wrong side edge and it should go through as long as the rollers can catch it, it should be fine. I hope that helps.
For me I use coffee, and for more details and darker spots I use dark brown watercolors. I thought that ever using tea wouldn't give same results as the coffee so thanks for your video!
I don't have oven... Sun dry is ok?? Well i was looking for these papers I didn't know how to make it... I'm quite happy ... I came across it .. i will try it😊
What size measuring cup did you use? I'll try your method. Thanks. Did you ever count your stack when completed to see how many you dyed? If so, how many sheets?
I used plain copier paper 80gsm. Try putting them in one at a time to make sure they are all soaked then drain the pan and put them in the oven in batches of 4 or 5 that way you are not just picking up one sheet and they are less likely to rip. Hope that helps.
Would it be crazy to put it in a dryer on delicate for a few minutes? You don't mention at what temperature or if you could microwave it for 10 seconds or so.
The crinkling of the paper made me happy :)
I Love that sound - Thanks for watching

How long in the oven and what temp? What size paper and pan do you use?
Normal A4 Copy paper 80gm - 180 oven - 5-10 mins in the oven 5 to 6 sheets at a time. A plain roasting
Nice idea ...What do you do with the paper after? I'd like to see your projects!

Can i just dry it under the sunlight ??? Or did i need to oven it??
I will be trying this technique, thanks.
Have you ever done it with thicker paper like cardstock? Also, if you use the oven method can you tell what temperature and for how long?

What do you do with them or rather, on what projects are you using these "loud" papers? Greetings from Germany
People use them to make journals.

That's really cool, thanks for the video! Do you think that paper can be put in the printer when it's dry to print on it?

This looks so much easier than my usual method. I must give it a try. Thanks for sharing. How long does it take in the oven on average?
Between - 5 and 10 min - 5 sheets at a time.
I would love some tea dyed paper.
This is wonderful! Thanks for sharing!

Just plain 80gm paper.

I did this and it came out lovely
How long do you put it in the oven for and at what temp?
The higher the quicker around 180/200 should be good.
Thank you. You made it so easy to follow. What temp is the oven? Thank you
180/200 should be good.
What size measuring cup did you use? I'll try your method. Thanks. Did you ever count your stack when completed to see how many you dyed? If so, how many sheets?
It was just under half of a full pack so about 200 sheets - its should be able to do at least 250. The jug holds about 35oz
Thanks for this amazing vid, I really needed this for my English Project. God bless your soul, and have a great wonderful day and life :)

How long do you leave it in the oven?
It's awesome it helped me for my history project
Hi, is this Celsius to Fahrenheit?
You baked all those paper together???
5-6 sheets at a time.
What about the chemicals in the paper if u bake them
Do I write on the paper before or after the process?
Well what do you all guys do with the papers after dying them??🤣
Great video!! :) Did you bake each sheet separately? And for how long and which temperature?
You can bake this in batches or separate it is up to you.
Wow love it. That's what I want
Thanks
Does it still works with printed paper?? Will the ink bleed??
The ink may bleed - but you can try running it through the printer once it has dried.
Would it be crazy to put it in a dryer on delicate for a few minutes? You don't mention at what temperature or if you could microwave it for 10 seconds or so.
Maybe Gas 5 Electric 160 - Microwave never 🙂
Can we use coffee powder or something brown like tea?
I have never tried coffee but it should work.
If i dont have the oven?
In another video someone said that you should write on it first if using for a journal. Do you suggest that also? I think that person used coffee.
Thank you for your question - The water would make the ink run or the pencil fade so I would not :)
I understand. Thanks.
Are they simply A-4 size paper of that thin quality or any thick paper??
They are just plain 80gsm copier paper that you would put in a printer.
What is the name of your etsy store. I really want to buy some.
Thanks for watching. I will be shutting down on March 1st - www.etsy.com/uk/shop/Jenash101
