      I am so sorry. This hit just miles north west of me. This is only my second year in Oklahoma. When I went outside and looked at the sky, I didn't know really what I was seeing. My brain couldn't make sense of it. I took some pictures, probably at that time it was already on the ground. I felt an incredible sense of thankfulness that it wasn't me, and then extreme guilt for feeling thankful. I love Oklahoma, that's why I moved here, but it's hard to get used to this.

      @@Equestrianista_ This happened 2 days (?) ago now at my time of writing and your comment is almost a day old (hyperbolically speaking).
      Tell me how exactly are they supposed to film this, edit, and upload this, in virtually 0 hours, and even then, get information the SECOND it's out, and even then, "lucky" that anyone found out so fast?
      It can take DAYS for people to be "excavated" in certain cases. And it's not normal for everyone to get help the SECOND the tornado has passed.
      Not to mention this happened JUST before onset of night.
      In a place where all power lines and artificial lights went down.
      If you pondered it a bit harder in advance, maybe you wouldn't wonder?

      @slooob23 Рік тому +1

      @@matthewmosier8439 we don't get big supercells very often, most tornados form in pre frontal convection with high windshear. Where I am, the southern alps mountain range create a low level jet stream from the north east which interacts with upper level Jetstream from the north west. Any deep convection ahead of a cold front can form a mesocyclone in this situation. The tornados are usually short lived, and have a rating of ef0 - ef2, occasionally ef3. These tornados are relatively frequent though, my small town (10'000 people) has a damaging tornado pass through about once every 2 years.

      Because to stay sane Reed uses humor at times. That and his desire to get just a little closer have put him at odds with other researcher's that believe he is too cowboy. Those that hate his style will still pour over his research like it is tornado crack.

    At minute 3:54 he passes the road that circles to the second road he passes at minute 4 with the metal silo looking building. That is my gmas neighborhood. As they stopped and looked, the tornado was over my gmas house. It took most of her house completely but they are alive and mostly uninjured. That was our families holiday gathering spot. Looking at the pictures of the home now is surreal because it's all items, cabinets, doors that I recognize and know from my entire life, thrown about in piles of rubble. I also have a picture of their laundry room door with a hole right at my nefews head height where he had just bent down and a piece of debri flew through the door at that second. It almost took his head off! We are all in shock, but it's hard not to watch these videos and be in awe over mother nature's power.
