  • The Yonex Astrox 77 Pro was the last of the peformance badminton rackets to be launched in this series. Whilst it may be the last, it could also be the hidden gem, with a more user-friendly specification, finding favour with amateur and professional players. I have 2 of these rackets, can't fault them. Strung with Ashaway 66 Fire Power in orange - looks sensational!

    Hi Paul, would you say this is more forgiving than the 88d pro? I am a lower/mid intermediate player and looking to "downgrade" my 88d pro for something more user friendly.

    I never see anyone compare on the nanoflare 1000z and the astrox 100z since nanoflare 1000z comes out, is there anyway you can compare the nanoflare 1000z and astrox 100zz on playability comparison? Caz the nanoflare 1000z broke the smashing record, just want to see how are they difference in between the power, control and stability of this two rackets on hand. Just curious why a head light nanoflare 1000z broke the smash record not the head heavy astrox 100zz.

    I have my astrox 77 pro for almost a year and I can say that it really is a user friendly racket. It is almost a mixture of every astrox series on which it can be both played in singles and doubles. I really think it is a very underrated racket and I hope it gains more attention in the market.

    As it so happened my racquet broke today... Hard clash. I'm considering this racquet but I'm wondering if I'm good enough for it. Have you tried the 77 tour version? How does it compare?

    • @TheBadmintonCoach
      @TheBadmintonCoach  5 місяців тому

      I haven’t tested the Tour version. I have seen it and it’s slightly different construction although specifications are the same.

    Can you suggest me which is more worth it for the price if I am single player between Astrox 88d tour and Astrox 77 tour. Side question, I heard that the Astrox 77 series can easily broken, is it true 😢?

      @TheBadmintonCoach  6 місяців тому +1

      I’ve not heard any stories about broken Astrox 77 rackets. Momota is using 77 along with many professional players. From memory, there are more using this racket for singles compared to 88

    Quick question, do you think this racket is good for beginner-intermediate players(I am in between beginner and intermediate)? If not, which racket would you recommend?

    • @TheBadmintonCoach
      @TheBadmintonCoach  5 місяців тому

      Most rackets are suitable for beginner. As your skills develop and you can notice a difference in rackets, you will develop a tendency to like specific charteristics such as head heavy, medium flex. Only then is this level of racket right for you

    Hi coach, i am playing currently with nanoflare 1000z and looking for another spare racket to play. 1000 z become the perfect racket for me. Should i wanna try arcsaber 11 or astrox 77 pro ? Or i shall stick with another 1000z btw my older racket is auraspeed 100x which i am not using now

      If you consider Nanoflare 1000Z to be your perfect racket, why would you spend money on a different racket as a spare. Simply buy a second Nanoflare 1000Z

    • @bubblebubble50
      @bubblebubble50 5 місяців тому

      Would you say so? But 88s is supposed to have shortest length of shaft, whilst 77 Pro has the longest shaft in all Yonex made in Japan racquets though.

    • @Kazubla
      @Kazubla 5 місяців тому

      @@bubblebubble50 Length shaft... Country of origin... You're looking at the wrong things. It's a racquet that does incredibly well in the front court with good control yet still gives great power for lifts and clears when in trouble.

    I was deciding on a new racket a month ago and ended up stuck between choosing this and the arc 7p.
    In the end I played it safe and went with the latter since I made the mistake of buying a racket that was too Head Heavy last time.
    If my racket ever breaks though I'm definitely going to give this one a try. Thanks for the review!

      I played with the 100 Game for a few months. I get too tired. Now I play with the Arcsaber 7 series. I use the Play & Tour when randomly partnered with players who swing at everything. 😁

    • @west9383
      @west9383 5 місяців тому

      how are you finding the arc 7 pro so far? is the lack of power really true for clears and smashes?

    • @TheHi-T
      @TheHi-T 5 місяців тому

      @west9383 I get plenty of power on attacking/punch clears. Smashes are less powerful compared to Astrox & Duora. Drives are powerful. At least I won't be tired. I can smash repeatedly. Pro has the most power.

    • @Kazubla
      @Kazubla 5 місяців тому

      Honestly my smash power hasn't decreased that much. Even though there's less weight I'm able to somewhat make up for it with a faster swing speed. My technique has also noticeably improved so the smashes themselves are a lot sharper. This is especially true for me when it comes to half smashes.
      The only downside is a severe lack of power in backhand clears. I really have to time my supination and grip really well to make sure it hits the backline.
      But the increased swing speed for defence and drives as well as control for nets makes it worth it.
      My drops are worse for some reason but that could be adjusting to the weight.
      All in all I don't regret my decision at all. Think it's the premium racket for people who want to improve their fundamentals.
      I have no issue with overhead clears.
