I was Blessed to have seen them during this tour in Chicago. The Mill Run Theater, They have ALWAYS gotten down just like this everytime I've gone to see them.
As a group , the Dramatics were unparalleled. I know some will mention the Temptations, but given the same platform in the music industry.......The Dramatics soar .......Just my preference, just my opinion 💦🙊
I was the saxophonist With the Dramatics at that time. We had to endure a lot to make that gig, it was the first with opening for the Isley Brothers, the bus broke down we rented 5 Uhauls to make it just as they were announcing the Dramatics. the band were still in our street clothes it was one of the best performances. The show must go on.
The Chairmen of the Board, Ray, Goodman and Brown, The 5 Stairsteps and Sylvers were groups that every member could sang......but The Dramatics.......5 men, 5 mics.
weegee was not around for the albums after the breakout/breakthrough album !!he did sing lead on 'IN THE RAIN',"WHATCHA YOU SEE IS WHATCHA GET",which were major hits...but as the videos,albums etc show,,,weegee was long gone when LJ.LENNY AND RON sung lead on the hits after 1972/73.
WEEGEE IS THE VOICE HIS SONGS HE SUNG WITH THE DRAMATICS MADE THE MOST MONEY AND GOLD RECORDS LJ HAS NO GOLD ON HIS WALL I SEEN WEEGEES ALBUMS ON HIS LIVING ROOM WALL TRUE FACT.
Agree.. WeeGee's voice was much more powerful than LJ's and sounded better.... When LJ tries to sing Wee Gee's songs they just don't sound the same... 👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿
