The cease and desist letter from GT turning ProFormer to Former Pro just made it way radder! I love the name Former Pro!!!!
I can't even say the word "freestyle" without Eddie's name popping into my head. His talent, his showmanship, his ability to progress the sport... legend.
Still the king for me since 84🤘
When I was a kid in 1984 there was Eddie on his bike and Eddie on the guitar. Good times.
GT sicking legal on Fiola... must have felt pretty awkward. I like many wouldn't even know what GT was if not for him :O awesome video
I cannot believe that GT would not allow this man to produce a bike style that they are no longer producing. Regardless, if the name sounded similar, this man is responsible for the legacy of GT existing they should be ashamed of themselves. They owe man millions of dollars for all that he did for that company and this sport in fact, his name will last forever and when you think of GT you will think of him Eddie Fiola is one of the greatest of all time, leave the man alone and cut that check that he deserves
He's responsible for the performer all around,, can go FK off, he put the company on the map to start with 👍💯💯FK them, but I heard that GT was sold and Gary Turner no longer owns Any stake in GT this was years ago he sold out and so was the Dyno brand sold 😭
@@Larry-rz4ed GT has since re-released the pro performer. strange they didn’t collaborate since the bike’s apart of their heritage line.

I remember riding by the Fiola house back in the mid-80s on my back from high school. My friends and I would watch Eddie and his friends ride the 1/4 pipe in the driveway. Great memories!

Met Eddie by accident a few years ago. Crazy thing is I was telling a friend if there's one rider I want to meet is Eddie Fiola, and boom he was at a my local bike shop standing next to me. I freaked out, and was like a 14 yr old all over again. So glad he's a part of bmx these days for us old guys.🍻

I got to ride Eddie's bike in the jam circle on the ride out Friday night! So epic! He is a super nice guy!
A true legend and pioneer of the sport. I had the privilege to see him ride in person back in the 80s at the GT world tour at the local bike shop.He signed the AME grips for me that they threw out to the crowd.
I met Eddie last year. He signed my GT. He’s Rad 🤙 nice video.
I was wondering when he was gonna release more of those bikes. Eddie is so cool and down to earth guy. I wish i could meet him one day and sign my 87 GT PFT.
Eddie is Legend a true treasure one of the forefathers of BMX freestyle, he was my childhood hero and still is to this day,along with Scotty Cranmer 💯
I'd love to get my hands on one of Eddie's bikes to add to my collection.
So cool! I got to see him ride in 1984 for my first time in Huntington beach. There's a video on UA-cam the day I was there. I rode my Hutch Pro Raider that I built up with my paper route money that I got from the same shop. The good old days, I was 12 at the time. So cool to see Eddie still riding.

Yes I'm 52yrs old I road a all chrome GT performer.i still have it black skyway wheels I have alot of old school bmx bikes I couldn't part with them also have a all black cw racing bike .a mt racing freestyle bike built with platforms built in frame diamond platform bars
I had the privilege of meeting Eddie a few years ago. Top guy!.... The GT Pro Performer will always be the 'Eddie Fiola bike'! Everybody over 50 knows this fact!
He put the Performer on the Map., everyone wanted a Performer ,when GT ,had Hutch, Haro ,Diamond Back and tons of other companies to deal with, everyone wanted a Performer 👍💯 In the late 90's I bought a Dyno Slammer because of Dave Mirra, best bike I ever owned 👍

Awesome bike! It was just like my pro performer frame I had back in 1987 a rare day glow orange my parents got me, a custom build from PJ 's cycle center Lake Mary Florida. That same PJ Cycle Center in Lake Mary FL would be where I would be sponsored and where I would see my first B M X freestyle show with Eddie Fiola and Martin Aparijo. I was just 15 in the 14-15 intermediate class in the AFA Florida series. It was awesome to see him a couple of times back in those days, he was a major influence on my routines with that fun showmanship! And I went to this with a couple of buddies and everybody was there I still got some pictures!
That Wizard is straight up SMOOTHE....Met him back in 1983 where Him & Micheal Domingez went HEAD To Head for " King Of BMX". Very Cool Dude....FORMER PRO????,,,,,,,,,,,,ONCE A PRO, ALWAYS A PRO.!!!!

Wow this bike is super cool! Eddie was my favorite rider back in the day. I got a 1988 gt pro performer new when I was 13, I still have it. Eddie partly helped make gt the choice for me

Hell yeah if he releases it, I don’t even ride anymore. I’ll build it put the motherfucker on the wall hanger! That’s what I should’ve done with my T1 barcode S&M Neil wood frame & GT ultra box actually had a small connection GT. There’s one bike I wish I still had was huffy promise that thing came stack with everything you needed all the way down to profile cranks and profile racing hubs now a stock bike that it got left it at the NBL grand nationals in Lexington Kentucky.

Can’t believe GT stuck Eddie. I would have thought they would have jumped at the chance to support his venture after all the bikes he’s helped sell over the years. Shame on GT.

I met Eddie in the early 80s . He came to England with a load of other American pro riders for the Kellogg's BMX championship. Such a nice guy and talented rider
