I love the traditional Latin Mass. May it be restored to altars in every
diocese of the Latin Rite Church. It is only fair for Roman Catholics
to have the choice to be able to worship in the way Our fathers in faith
    worshipped.

Dearest brother Khalid, you may not know it now, but you are being called through Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour, God Made Man, to praise and serve the one true God of Love in Heaven who came down from Heaven in the form of man to save us all. I have studied the Qur'an and Hadith for many years and it is not the way of the one and only God of Love. You have sensed the truth in this beautiful Solemn Mass and I will pray for your ultimate conversion to the Way, the Light and the Life. May God Bless you all the days of your life.

Whether you like him or not this is why Archbishop Lefebvre will one day be a saint of the Church...without him and his courage given by God there probably would be no Latin Mass anymore.

I'm a Muslim, but I still go to the Oratory to attend the Solemn Mass on Sunday. I've discovered that the awe I feel when listening to the majestic sound of the Credo is the very same awe I feel when listening to a beautiful recitation of the Quran. The words of the Pater Noster are almost the same as that of the Quran's opening chapter, the Surah Fatiha. We all as human beings share the same innate quality that brings out our devotion to the Divine, regardless of whatever faith we may belong to. Let us put aside our differences and celebrate that.

Khalid Miah hello Khalid. I try to pretend I`m a lapsed Catholic but I'm more and more unlapsed. I suppose if you've been brought up as one, you tend to stay one. Welcome to our funny world, anyway. We're not a bad old bunch really

Khalid Miah, You are an inspiration of acceptance to us all. I believe in my heart of hearts that there are many paths to Almighty God. God Bless you and your faith in Islam. God Bless all people of faith.

Thank God the Catholic Church doesn't tell us to "strike at the necks of the infidels".

John 14:6. Alas, there is only ONE path to God, and it is not through Judaism, Islam, naturism, Buddhism, Hinduism, et. al.

St. John Henry Cardinal Newman, Ora Pro Nobis. Pray for us that we may return to true Catholic worship and that the “church” that Vatican II build will crumble to dust. And with this wall down we may then see the true Holy Catholic Church which it has tried to hide. May a true pope be once again crowned, and the imposter removed. St. John Henry Newman and my patron St. Thomas More, intercede for us, and may you Bl. John Henry Newman be lifted to sainthood, there to intercede for us before Christ and his Most Holy Mother Mary.

Did the congregation sing Lead Kindly Light ? I attended a Newman lecture last night at UEA and it was very illuminating so much so that I wrote a poem about it !!

We are people of God,and are therefore free to chose how we worship. It's what's in our hearts that matters. I prefer the 'bells and smells' but it's the public act of worship that binds us not the language or choice of music. Great to hear babies making their presence known.😀

Trish Yraynor, One Calvary, One Christ Crucified, One Divine Worship. The Jewish Passover Prayers said in the Temple in Jerusalem by the Priest is Christs thats why He is present at that Particular Worship its about His Sacrifice His Passover Jews had true worship. The Jewish Passover prayers cannot be altered they are Perpetual. The Priest is to use a pure language Latin is the purist.

Until someone can prove I'm wrong...why is it that some folk don't look upon real Mass as they should. Those I've attended myself, my mind and love of it made certain every time that I was there well before it started - and still various other folk would meander in 5, 10, 15 - even 30 minutes after it had commenced...and looked around for a seat as if they were entering a cinema...smiling and nodding at others they knew - regardless of what was being spoken...
I wouldn't be in the least perturbed if a quiet recommendation to the congregation was made advising them to be in the Church at least 10 minutes before the Mass began, as from the moment of the first ringing, the doors are closed...
Some will assert aesthetic reasons as to why the doors must always be open - but what comments are to be made regarding the clear indifference of those 'regular' late-comers blatantly wallowing in the unwarranted attention-energy they purloin from virtually everyone else during these most solemn proceedings as they make their performing way to the front of those seated?
I'm satisfied I've made my comment...it can be read and that's enough for me...my statement prevails...

I just go by my own mode of aspiring to all truth - if I happen (through no fault of my own - bus delay - traffic diversion et cetera) to arrive late at a true Mass - I just stand and kneel appropriately outside the inner main doors to the Church, I won't intervene when the Tridentine Mass has started. I don't have the right - to my mind. To my mind, again, to by-pass any sincere attempts to cure coughing fits (if I was so suffering, I'd remain outside the inner doors and move outside to the pavement if a fit occurred) - and any infant I was with would know from my own aspiring aura - it has happened many times - that the occasion and place warranted careful attention and commitment - and they would thus become far more appropriately aware of the purpose of a true Mass - and anyone chatting in the middle of it - I'd make a point of gently asking them whether their subject of 'chat' was more important than that of All Truth - something they were there to show ultimate respect towards - and how demons are most adept at counterfeiting the egos of individuals subconsciously to divert their attention from any aspect of the one thing demons can never destroy - all truth ... I know of one older lady who lived not at all far from the particular Church in North London that adheres to the Tridentine Mass - who purposely chose to arrive virtually every Sunday halfway through the Mass and choose a place which necessitated her 'condescendingly' having to ask several people to move to 'make room for her presence'... I happened to mention my interest in exorcism in the little bookshop inside the Church when she was nearby - and that brought about a 'ridiculing' comment from her when my own referring wasn't to her at all - and my suspicions about her motivations were thus somewhat verified. These things occur in today's social 'normality' - but - to 'accept' such 'discord' without any inclination to correct such unnecessary and avoidable happenings isn't the right basis for attending such Services. As ever, All Truth Prevails ...

...and this is all that Joni wrote:
The Devil is more than happy to ignite the fire, in whichever guise he chooses. Someone's coughing fit, an infant screaming or crying, people chatting, those arriving late or seeking attention in any form. We are poor mortals who are flawed alas, how fortunate are we, that God is all forgiving!

When I logged into this site first - there were no 'reply' underneath each any of the interactions - but then - logging back in after I'd added the original full messages from my own computer - the 'reply' words were there. Curious...it seems as if I'm overplaying something, but, I'm not. (the last chord just after about 10 minutes or so from the end of the Mass just stayed in my head... Wonderful... I'll leave it all at that ... Vincit omnia Veritas ...
