Thank you for this beautiful tutorial! I made this yesterday and it turned out so well. I want to make a smaller version with fewer columns, and I think I figured out a formula to calculate how many foundation chains are needed to adjust this bag to your desired size, so I thought I'd share: To start, if I want to make this bag with "y" number of columns, then I want to have 10y + y total stitches when I finish row 5. For example, if I want a bag with 6 columns, then I want (10*6)+6=66 total stitches when I finish row 5. Then you can use that total stitch count - let's call it "T" - to figure out the size of your foundation chain - let's call that "f". Solve for "f" here: 34 + 2f = T For my 6 column example, my total stitch count "T" is 66. So I would solve for "f" in 34 + 2f = 66. This tells me that my foundation change would need to be f=16 chains long. If I wanted to make a bag with 10 columns (like Vivi did in this video), I would need 110 total stitches by the end of row 5 - (I know this because 10(10) + 10 = 110 ). Then I plug that number into my equation to solve for f in: 34 + 2f = 110 and I would get x=38 as my foundation chain length.

I'm finishing this bag now, is there a way to elegantly reenforce the handles? I feel the handles have a weak spot, a single stich at the foundation, and if you put a slightly heavier load in the bag, it will rip. The bag is beautiful, I'm just not sure how handles will hold up
