Solido makes a really good job and even with their flaws (and quality control issue from time to time) i still think Solido makes the best bang for buck in 1/18. And with the LCD and Solido in the display cabinet you can barely tell them apart, they look so similar on the outside.
I know i checked before and to me they feel like made of metal on both Solido and LCD. I can pull them from storage and check again, but i remember it being metalic.

that lcd engine is the most detailed engine i have seen on a diecast car other than BBR/Exoto/CMC
