At first, I was annoyed at how Karl's character wanted to insert himself in every group and in every situation. But when I watched Screwave's video essay ( • Karl Jacobs Unknown Ch... ), it sank in to me. Karl just wanted to belong.
It's an irony that a song entitled Lonely is a Community Collaboration - the second one. We had a total of 86 voices in the track (mine excluded). It is, I admit, much different from All Hail The King (I know you peeps like it). But this is much more personal to me, and I guess, to you who relate as well.

This is a Minecraft but, water rises or lava rises or any other Minecraft 1.16 challenges like that, but this time I BROKE DOWN WRITING A KARL JACOBS THEME. This is a Minecraft fan-made song that included a bunch of people, and it's supposed to make you cry! btw do you know that Karl once had a 100% win rate in Minecraft Championships? And we're both born on 1998? Sick, right? Anyway, I'll be uploading another painful song next... sorry for bringing you pain, I myself, am in pain as well.

I sometimes forget that canonically, Karl's character isn't human, he's stranded in a world where it's naturally hard for him to fit in.
He was damned to be invisible from the very beginning, always there but never seen; Even when he used desperate measures to get people's attention, the narrative denied him an important role in its history.
While other characters' actions were motivated by the prospect of power, Karl never really wanted anything but love and appreciation; He wanted to be part of something.
Then finally, he found meaning in his relationship with Sapnap and Quackity, but even that sense of belonging is threatened by his own nature.
Karl is but a guest in this timeline and it keeps him disconnected from the reality he wishes to live in.
He tries to hold onto it, but it slips through his fingers as the memories he made slip his mind and he loses himself in the surge of time - and he can't even do anything to stop it.
The true burden of being a time traveler isn't the duty of documenting the travels itself; It has always been the eternal loneliness that comes with such a fate.

I love that you didn't focus on his time traveling abilities and instead centered the song about how he actually felt during his time in Dream SMP before everything went downhill for him.

It's sad how many of us feel this today. Even with the love of my family, I've broken down many a time because I feel lonely. I'm sure others can relate even with more or less love in their lives. Everyone wants to have a place to belong. It's so hard to find it though

Know that there are many versions of him in the in-between and I imagine they are his timeline who totally forgot since those versions of himfelf "failed" to do what he was doing, and just imagining if he fails too, he becomes another version of himself, those who completely forgot everything.

This song embodies Karl's character from before the Time Travel adventures perfectly! I also got a bit annoyed with Karl until I started to dive deeper into everyone's povs and stories in the Dream Smp. I'm glad Karl is finally getting his day.

I love this song so much cause I can relate to it, I’m glad I could participate in singing for this song (I was so glad that my voice wasn’t rejected by another person). When I saw that 86 voices were apart of this I was so happy I could be one of them, I didn’t think I would be in the credits but I freaked out in happiness and showed all my friends in proudness that my media name showed up on the first page of name credits. Thank you for allowing me to be apart of this amazing community project, this song is something I can relate to.

This song.. Is amazing. Not just because it captures Karl's C!Character, but because its also so relatable. So many of us have people there.. Family, Counselors, Teachers, Friends, everyone has someone.. Even neighbors you barely even talk to, they are there.. But it never feels like it. I have some friends, I have my family, I have neighbors, Counselor's at shcool, teachers at shcool, but I still feel lonely. I have no one I can truly vent to, explain everything to.. Because something always stops it. They worry, They talk and interrupt, I say I'm not ready or that I'm okay and they just beleive it, its always SOMETHING!! Or someone thinks I'm lying, I'm guilt-tripping them, and thats when I just finally snap and say what is on my mind. I feel lonely, even when I keep reminding myself their here for me, I still feel lonely.. You don't have to be alone, to be lonely. You can have 1000's of people, even millions, that care for you, that are always there, but if your relationships aren't strong.. If you still can't talk to them, then hell.. You're lonely.

I think that Karl's character is very interesting. For most of the time on the Dream SMP, Karl didn't really have a big part in the lore. He was just a side character, he didn't know where or who he belonged to.
But then He found out that he could time travel. Watch a video on the In Between for more info in that :D
His character has gotten so much more interesting recently with the In Between, The Other Side, and such.
I think that Karl is just a misunderstood character, with arcs ahead for him!

I'm not much of a fan of Karl's storyline, I'm just not. But this song? I relate to it painfully much. I have two people (not in my family) I'm comfortable with. I'm happy with them, but I still feel alone. I know I'm not alone, I'm lonely. Instead of time-traveling like Karl does, my escape is books, writing, and gaming. This song literally describes me so much.
