Someday will you please tell how you & your wife got started in ranching? Your background. We love your videos!! We wish you had one everyday. Lol. Thank you for a down to earth ranching vlog. Our #1 favorite to watch.

Cows have teeth, we don’t run a processor either. lol. I don’t like to watch leaves float away on the wind while a guy is grinding. But that’s just us, we are surrounded by them on the neighbors, but we don’t like spreading manure either. We keep the cows out on the sod as well.

Maxishock is the name of that stranded electric fence wire I like. It's very light and easy to use. It is very strong and conducts well. I had a charger that charged 5 miles of wire. It worked great, even with sheep with full wool on.

Haybuster question: Max. returns for the amount of time and resources expended. Most time it pays to spend less on resources and accept a little less return.

Nice black bear mount. I’ve got a blonde bear (still a black bear). Cinnamon and brown are common colors up here too. Probably 20% or so of the black bears in our area aren’t black. Seen a few that are almost white as well. A few grizzlies around our area as well. As a cow guy, I have no love for bears though. We’ve lost a few calves in the spring to them, lost a few of our spring foals out of the horses years ago as well. They really like horse. Would climb right into the corrals to get a foal.

I have a haybuster short cut, I love it. I use it to grind my hay and blow into a pile for feeding out in my wagon with silage, for grinding hay in rows for cattle on winter pasture or drought, and for bedding the few times its needed. I use an old kelly ryan feed wagon and don’t have a bale bed.
You already have the bale bed and the vertical feed wagon- if you want to grind hay and put out in rows instead of unrolling just load the vertical mixer wagon and spread it that way. Save the money for more cows.
    Just my $.02
    Keep up the good work

I’ve got bale rings, 3 pt bale unrollers, bale bed unrollers and a bale processor. Bale processor wastes the least amount of hay. It only spreads it about 2 feet wide. My problem with the bale unrollers is that they stand and crap on the hay while they are eating it. I’ve never done a cost comparison, but 5x6 bales were over $75 this winter. We mainly bought the processor to process straw for our lambing barn. Now I feed hay with it everyday.

For a one man show, you do a great job, your a hard working man, thank god you dont name all your calf crop, or tell us some stupid song of the day, and you dont have a attitude that you are better than every one else, you do a very good job showing us the cattle and the equipment. Keep up just being you. and say hi to fancy pants.
