Great playing ! How did you get such a nice and mellow tone out of the stingray ? Since they tend to sound a bit growly but it sounds very smooth here !

Thanks. Well, I set bass control at 90%, mid at 45% and treble at 60%. I let the bass do the work. Someone gave me that idea 20 years ago👍 Hope I answered your question 👌

@@Salaituk ah, are these the settings on your amp ? did you play around with the settings on the stingray preamp at all ?

Did you recorded using any specialized recording equipment/mixer? When I record using cell phone, the bass is not audible. Please share thoughts.

Hi, I used FocusRite interface to record my bass line and used Reaper software. See this link ua-cam.com/video/f2Hao2Jp8oY/v-deo.html

@@Salaituk Thank you so much. The video provides lot of information on creating bass cover. When you do live performance, would you use same Bass fly rig and focus rite interface? or something else? I am not getting good bass tone while playing by just connecting to Amp. Not sure something else needed to get clean, deep bass.
      Thanks in advance.

Hi, sorry, for some reason I didn't see your message until now :-( Well, when I perform LIVE, I used my 4x10" Ampaq cabinet and Amp. I would connect my Bass to Tech 21, Tech 21 to the Ampaq Amp (My Ampaq cabinet is powerful 1000watts, volume is set to 55-60 %). I adjusted Ampaq amp the way I want to hear for myself. Once I am set, the sound guy will adjust for the main house. Hope this help.

@@Salaituk that is awesome. I am using only 50watts amp. I understood now. I tried tech21 bass fly rig and tech21 sans amp bass driver in a shop. The sans amp sounds better than fly rig. Fly rig has few other options like chorus etc.. do you know it is expected? I appreciate your time to respond my queries. Thanks.

@@samsonjr74 Sansamp is great too but fir some reason I like Fly Rig better. I also have Ampaq DI but I like Fly Rig better. Me, I let my bass do its work.. I have Musicman SingRay 4&5 strings, Spector Euro 4&5 strings, American Elite Jazz Bass 5strings PRS Gary Grainger 5 strings.. All great basses with great tone. Having powerful Cabinet on the stage helps a big time. Hope this help👌👌
