+Madison Mariano Thanks. Yes you could do that. The leds can be on any edge and you can just adjust the frame to whatever you require.

I prefer the engraving tool for engraving it's easier; but the rotary tool is a more flexible tool (drilling etc.)
Does regular glass also catch light or its only acrylic glass that does that
You can use glass. Its harder to engrave than acrylic and acrylic is clearer with less green tinge etc
The battery you're using is 12v? How many hours will the power last?
It depends on the power requirements of the led strip used. In general, these work best with a power supply adapter.

+Carnes Mexicaltzingo Yes it does. See my latest video where I edge light a glass mirror. There is one problem with glass though, normal glass has iron oxide in it which gives it a green glow, you can see this if you look through the edge of most glass. If you use colour led strip then you can counteract this effect. Acrylic is optically clear and doesn't have the green problem.

Hi, I have a problem with the light reaching all the way through the engraving. I am using the same size of acrylic sheet with the engraving centered on it. I have also already built the base. The light only reaches about 3-4 inches up the sheet and is very weak. If you have a solution I would be very grateful. Thanks. (The depth of the engraving is about 1mm)
Have you removed the protective sheets on both sides of the acrylic, this makes a huge difference.
Try moving the position of the sheet on the leds, they should be centred, again it makes quite a difference.

Hello. Nice job. But on ua-cam.com/video/c6mKMpPe8xg/v-deo.html it's very easy to see some dirt on the acrylic then the light is turned on. Have you find a solution how to remove that dirt without damaging the surface of acrylic? From my experience it's very hard job to remove that dirt.
Auto Glym fast glass and a microfiber polishing cloth has worked for me
