If you do not want to support the farmers in realising some money by way of selling their waste product viz molasses, then you can buy unblended petrol and increase the important bill for Govt of India and increase the quantum of pollutants emitted to the atmosphere so that all road users will suffer from respiratory problems like New Delhi Citizens. Correct dan. But E20 compliant engines for all cars and 2 wheelers are coming soon. Already some cars launched. They will not get damage due to Ethanol. Ethanol can cause several types of damage to the engine in your vehicle. Your vehicle's fuel intake components can be damaged. In addition, ethanol can cause damage to the fuel pump in your vehicle.
Fuel injection pump is used only in Diesel engine where injectors are used. If Ethanol is used in Diesel engine, it will not lubricate the injector nozzles and as such it will get damaged due to high friction and poor lubrication properties of Ethanol as compared to Diesel.
