      Looked great to me! But boat jigging rods would work the jigs easier, slow, fast, skinny blanks with some crazy back bone! I only shore jig since I don’t have boat access. But since your on the water with depth below you for your advantage go heavy on the jigs🤙🏽🤙🏽

    • @RAHfishing
      @RAHfishing  4 роки тому +1

      Yes i made a video on it. Just tie it similar to this setup with just the hook's and you will be good to go. Also you have to use a heavy lead. 🤙

      Reel Adventures Hawaii thanks and I meant when you’re live baiting. Couple times when I’m idle forward with live bait my line will just get pushed behind the props. Happened to me twice already

    • @RAHfishing
      @RAHfishing  4 роки тому

      Since the wind was light I just went off the back corner. If the wind is blowing I would run it up the outrigger with the same rubber band. The drop back also helps to pull the line away.

    You make catching bait look so easy.👍🏻
    Did you mainline the bait or have a leader?
    Do the predator get spooked by using a heavy leader and swivel?

    • @RAHfishing

      Depends on what you are trying to do. Sometimes mainline, sometimes leader. Either way will work. 🤙

      Man... I happy I catch three opelu’s..
      I can find the pile, but cannot stay with them..even with parachute☹️..
      Would chumming help keep the bait with boat?..
      If I could catch as many as you, I’d skip the bait and save for home consumption.
      Thank you.

    • @RAHfishing
      @RAHfishing  4 роки тому +1

      Don't use the chute waste too much time. The piles move especially after the sun pops, predators come out and try to hunt.

      @@RAHfishing I just started whipping. I'm on Oahu.
      Been catching things finally. Getting a handle on it. Sometimes i'm confused about the process of whipping. I've seen you whip and reel in pretty aggressive. Is there ever a time where you reel in faster than the fish can grab it? I'm always trying to figure out the speed at which I should be reeling in.

    • @RAHfishing
      @RAHfishing  4 роки тому +1

      The best is to just keep changing your speeds. If a fast retrieve isnt working slow it down. There honestly is no right or wrong. Fast might work really good at 1 spot and slow might work better at another.

    BRA. Never grab your live bait, hang the bait over the well , Use a dhooker , you remove the slime from the bait, i feel the bait looks different under water, and you cant keep them in the bait pen at the dock as long, they get scabs on there sides, WE even use a wet towell when we floss then on the hook as well. but, what do i know...... www.fishingpalmbeach.com
