Lucy, it's always nice to hear your thoughts. I know what you mean about needing a break from social media from time to time. The world today can really put a lot of noise in your mind. So many distractions. So many opinions. It can be exhausting. It's important to have that alone time to hear your own voice and thoughts again, to reflect and heal. You're not alone with that.
When I was a kid I went to a nursing home to see my great grandma. she kept calling me my father’s name and trying to get me to pray with her in Polish but I don’t know how to speak Polish. then I went to get a drink from a vending machine and when I was in the activities area this old guy with a cane said “hey you’re the one that plays the piano play a song” and I shook my head no cause I don’t know how to play piano then a couple other elderly people joined in with him and said “play a song play a song” over and over as they slowly closed in on me like zombies. So I ran away down the hall back to my great grandma’s room. Anyway that’s how I became afraid of old people.
I felt that this frank conversation was much more comforting than hypnosis and testing. I was pleased that I took a small part in her fate when I clicked "Like" and wrote comments on the video. I am ashamed that there is nothing else I can do to comfort Lucy in return. Sorry about that. Thanks for the pleasant bedtime monologue.
