i just found on the wiki that this game does have a "rivals" system where picking one character makes others perform differently. Apparently Wario is almost always last except when you choose Luigi.
You know at first i thought it was insane to complain about the kart customization in MK8 then i remembered this guy also picks default costume in everything and everything made sense
the extra circuit rainbow road is bullshit because the CPUs always bounce back onto the track if they're going to fall off 43:00 this but all the time, you can not bump the CPUs off
I doubt many would care enough about Super Circuit to do some DLC-esque mods for it, but like; Since the character sprites and voices take a lot from Mario Kart 64, I wonder if anyone would implement Kamek as a 9th character, in the incredibly rare chance that a Magikoopa-era build of Super Mario Kart R gets found?
Getting the three-star rankings in this game is some absolute horseshit. Saw a vid the other day that explained it. But basically the rating system is based on "style points" which are influenced by some ridiculous shit, ranging from what character you play as to whether you use stars or get hit by lightning. (Both of thoae are counted as negative things iirc.)
