Colin Hay - Down Under (Acoustic Version)
Вставка
- Опубліковано 29 сер 2013
- Significance:
Track 2 from the album Man @ Work ©2003
Colin Hay is best known as the Lead Singer for Men @ Work.
The album is essentially a career-retrospective for Colin, roughly half of the tracks are solo studio renderings from the works of Men @ Work.
My song pick for Friday morning (08/30/13).
Love it. A nice middle ground between the original and the more commonly known version.
why i miss this all these years, awesome
epicly understated
Man, Colin Hay, the legend.
Men at work was such a wonderful band, and this is a wonderful version of the song.
Best version ever
Beautiful really amazing acoustic version
Have this version, I absolutely love it! Play it as I ride down the road, everyday.
2020! Still listen to the best music
gonna need to buy this album now!
I just want to add that I had the Cargo Album form Men at Work - I got it as gift when I was 13 - One of the best gifts I got that year - I also liked the song Dr. Heckyll and Mr. Jive which was the basis of a comedy film
Got the goosebumps. Love it!
Kings harvest dancing in the moonlight... I would love that from Collin
just amazing

Travelling in a fried-out Kombi On a hippie trail, head full of zombie I met a strange lady, she made me nervous She took me in and gave me breakfast And she said, "Do you come from a land down under Where women glow and men plunder? Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder? You'd better run, you'd better take cover." Buying bread from a man in Brussels He was six foot tall and full of muscle I said, "Do you speak-a my language?" He just smiled and gave me a Vegemite sandwich And he said, "I come from a land down under Where beer does flow and men chunder Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder? You'd better run, you'd better take cover." Lying in a den in Bombay Slack jaw, not much to say I said to the man, "Are you trying to tempt me Because I come from the land of plenty?" And he said, "Oh! Do you come from a land down under (oh yeah yeah) Where women glow and men plunder? Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder? You'd better run, you'd better take cover."

Lyin' in a den in Bombay
With a slack jaw, and not much to say
I said to the man, "are you trying to tempt me
Because I come from the land of plenty?"
And he said
Do you come from a land down under? (oh yeah yeah)
