I want to see a movie where Greg goes full on John Wick after a vampire coven steals his sheep.
SAME
Els or Cristina?
Real
Baelin's Route style!
Yes please!!
2:32 "Garlic time, MotherF***ers !" from the garlic farmer. Priceless!
Garlic farmer, the perfect cover. "All those sharpened stakes? Those are for making a garlic trestle. Exhuming shovel? Nah, that's just a gardening spade. The rosewood crossbow? Uh...rabbits...in the garden..?"
"So... why do you ask adventurers to take care of the rats if you have that crossbow?"
"Uhm.... Ah! Adventurer!"
@@SuddenReal He's searching for an apprentice. Have you noticed that if you do well again the rats, he sends you against wolves? All animals associated with vampires.
@@AndrewJohnson-oy8oj He is trying to built a Secret Guild Of Garlic Farmers to fight against that nasty vampires in every near and distant corner of the Azerim. There would be no safe hovel or even hole in a ground for vampires to hide when a garlic farms would be raised here and there.
Greg having OP stats against vampires is now my head-canon !
Excuse a newbie
What does OP stand for in this context?
it means Overpowered, @@Liesl_Frank!
@@Liesl_Frank No apology needed ! OP means overpowered :)
I don't comment often, but Greg getting his shinning glory, hero moment! Goose bumps!
Greg definitely did that, it makes total sense.
We've seen him as a capable fighter before, and being a garlic farmer, he's the perfect counter to vampires.
Just like when Rowan tried out the Vampire class and turned everyone, then threw up after biting Greg!
I didn't expect that end. I mean it's totally in character but I loved to see him enter Baelin mode.
Rowan is a great actor and Ala killed it with the grenade 😅
I did not expect to see Greg. Did not expect he had bombs. Not even garlic ones! And definitely not expect him to excel at body combat
**out of sync hissing** subtitles never disappoint 🦇❤️
Greg wants to be a Monster Hunter Way of the Open Hand Monk so bad
Yeah well, I believe Greg could and did do it. Sounds like the full arc of ye ol' garlic farmer: Taking out the vampire clans.
Truly Greg is the hero we need
Oooohhhh. Dropping the Censored C-Bomb! A double C delight!!
If Ben can make Greg fight a boss the way he did, along with favorites such as Fred, Eugene, and of course Baelin, he was bound to do something like this and shine like how Baelin did in every moment he was forced to fight...and just like with Baelin, no one really has to know how extremely capable of a fighter Greg actually is. I mean, his Grandpa was an adventurer. His set of skills would have been passed down and refined over the next generation, only to be perfected into the next generation, hence where he comes to play.
Who knew Greg was such a badass
I always new Greg was some kind of sleeper agent.
Every version of Alan is growing stronger 🤣🤣 Its only a matter of time till the eventual crossover tournament of the strongest VLDL characters 🔥🔥 at least thats what I hope this leads to
"providing refreshments".. YOU are the refreshments for Rowan lol
Woah… Greg’s a badass!!! Who knew?!
The Vampires in Witcher before their fall from power...
And how it is now...
Love you guys!
I turned on captions and you guys are missing out if you haven't.
I believe Greg!
-Hey Greg, why are you farming so much garlic?
-It's because of the vampire problem
-What vampire problem?
-Exactly!
EXACTLY!!! Excellent! Hope that this point is noted in the upcoming films about Greg.
Honesty sounds like epic secret quest, after you reach a centain level of fame, and force, and good relanship with greg, starting the special quest " Helping the old vampire hunter to kill his mortal enemies). Greg is the serana of situation!
Greg has a very particular set of skills. Skills that he has acquired over a very long career. Skills that make him a nightmare for vampires.
and surprisingly nothing else
Vampires hate this NPC!
Daymare
Don't forget His garlic infused blood...therefore the undead scum can't bite Him
The gumball reference 🤣
I freaking knew there will be a Greg the Garlic Farmer vs Vampire skit ever since Rowan changed his class to Vampire. I DID NOT expect Greg to go this hard.
There’s an alternate timeline where Greg became a Blood Hunter instead of a Cleric
Blood hunter Greg would’ve been cool but the d-heads were desperate for heals
I didn't think about it but as soon as he appeared here it all made sense
HOLY GARLIC GRENADES!!!
He deserves a toast! (Garlic toast😋)
😂 I think Greg deserves his own movie as the vampire slayer of Azerim at night, shop keeper in the day.
I agree. Briliant
Vampire slayer at night, shop keeper in the day, artificer and cleric on the weekends.
Always to busy to look for his missing sheep
I want this!!
Baelins Route II: The smell of garlic!
I like how Greg eats so much garlic that he was immune to the vampire's bite.
Nice touch.
Not immune, but the taste of him gave the vampire like 10d12 poison damage 😂
Good old Garlic and Fish NUM NUM NUM
A meeting without refreshments is called an "email."
I like this attitude
You misspelled: Normal and way too long
Worst part is when they cull a person for just a few litres of blood. What a waste of resources. You don't need to kill a cow to get to the milk.
Worst part is when they cull a person for just a few litres of blood. What a waste of resources.
@@WithoutliesShlimShlamdie-rc9ry No need to unalive a cow to get to the milk.
- I don't think you were invited.
- How did I even get here then?
Hahaha, genius!
Thx, i forgot some vampires can't go inside whithout a proper invit.
I didn't catch that until you mentioned it, that's actually genius writing.
That's very Ben of him...
Best throwaway gag I've heard in a long time
i dont get it
love how rowan reappears as bodger at the end - definitely not the evil vampire lord guy
edit: yes I know they're meant to be different characters with the same skin... probably
When the developers reuse assets
Nah,vampire can't get sunlight
What if he has a legendary vampire ring? Then he can withstand sunlight
That's correct. Bodger has a hammer that RIGHTFULLY HIS! His grandfather left it to HIM, not to his brother or some silly little vampire person.
Not bodger... Its his evil twin 'the leather worker's from dark wood 😂😂😂😂
We all know that Greg is a descendent of vampire slayers. His grandfather had a garlic shaped pummel on his vampire slaying sword. The only reason Greg is only known as a farmer is that there arent many vampires left. His ancestors defeated the vampire rulers and returned peace to the land.
Greg ate so much fish and garlic he gained "garlic blood", "garlic aura" and "garlic god blessing"
Don't know what fish has to do with anything. That's pretty weird. You can make garlic with plenty of dishes.
Hahahaha
"Num Num Num Num Num"- Greg the Garlic Farmer (and to a lesser extent Shmeg the Garlic Liker)
If you’re going to eat a lot of fish then you may want to use lemon pepper instead of garlic, the lemon will make you less apt to get scurvy. Although garlic is good for immune system in general so maybe every other time then it won’t get boring.
They need to make the patron god of Greg the cleric on the dnd channel the "God of Garlic"
The honeywood theme in he background right before Greg The Garlic Farmer enters is just chefs kiss
Well shit i didn't even notice that xD
I had to listen to that section twice on earphones to notice it
Even I'm a deaf person and the closed caption was the best!! I'm laughing so hard! One of my favorites is "WTF gasp!" That what perfectly match the body language and facial expression 😂
Watching it again with closed captions made it even better! "*A golden garlic?*", "*cool stunt sh1t*", "*zoro hissing*", and the poignant "*well...*" after Greg broke his sword? *Chef's kiss*
*allergic spewing*
WOW thank you for this.
Okay, this was brilliant. I can't tell if this was all Greg's fantasy or if it really happened as a quest, but Greg the Garlic Farmer being a vampire hunting badass is my headcanon now anyway.
Then greg gets nerfed after the update. 🤣🤣
@@iissss9847after vampires were added as a playable race they had to vault the vampire hunting quest line it’s also why he lost his wife as she was linked to the vampire questline
@@iissss9847 Gregs always get nerfed, unfortunately.
Need "Headcanon" merch: a hat with an old-school cannon firing cannonballs of lore!
Canon 🎉from now on ✅
Greg is that one npc with the most epic sidequest you can easilly miss.
I loved this in the witcher.
"It’s garlic time mother fuckers" has got to be the most bad-ass hero intro of all time!
yep that was frggin awesome!!! lmao
Adam is a very elegant vampire
Indeed, also, Ben really rocks a set of fangs when he does his evil smile.. usually reserves it for when he's doing the difficult customer getting his way bit in the bored series, but it went so well here with the fangs
I liked his brother in the top hat. They have a vibe.
I love Baelin's Route... but Greg the Vampire Hunter would put it to shame! Make it happen, VLDL!
We all want this
YES!
This is probably how Greg owns a tavern, a farm, and a shomp. Vampire bounties
Not to mention all that loot from their hideouts.
Greg NPC passive: Stats are multiplied x10 in the presence of Vampires
Oh god.... that'd be broken if he dragged a vampire around 😂
@@Demon-.Like on Walking Dead. That's a good idea.
Greg is morphing from a garlic trader into a *GARLIC TRADER*
@@Demon-.but this won't work in daytime 😂
And it only helps when you aggro a vampire long enough to drag it all the way across Azerim to Greg's house, lol
Its the perfect disguise. Greg looks like a normal garlic farmer. But in truth he is a vampire hunter, as his father and his father before him. A lineage of vampie hunters. What do you think the sword with the garlic pummel is for. Its a magic sword dealing garlic damage. Perfect weapon against the vampire lord.
I love this explanation of the garlic sword. The player character dismisses it as not a very powerful sword, unaware that it has a massive attack bonus specifically against vampires.
@@riverbabbles yeah he did say his father fought monsters. Now its cannon that thoes monsters were vampires.
I am very proud to remember the swords when watching this.
Would be such a cool short film.
The funny thing would be for that sword to be the literal strongest weapon against vampires. But the only way to get it is to not give Greg the sword losing the 10% positive affinity for Greg for the rest of that playthrough.
@@tonyolsson3880 But maybe this whole quest line occurs BECAUSE you gave Greg his sword back! He might not have used it, but perhaps returning the sword unlocks a future opportunity to request his help with defeating the vampires, leading to this event :D Maybe you can do the quest without him, but it would be IMPOSSIBLY HARD
@@riverbabbles that could also be a cool quest idea.
Bodger: "Greg, what's your last name?"
Greg: "Uh, Belmont"
Underrated comment right here.
Castelvania NPC: Azerim
And suddenly all vampires left the kingdom over night. 😂
Gregory "Greg the garlic farmer" Belmont
Nice day for fishin', but a horrible night to have a curse.
Wow! The garlic farmer being a vampire hunter is a perfect combination of subverting expectations and being super obvious in retrospect.
The subtitles "cool stunt shit" and "even more cool shit" 😂
Lorquin subtitles never dissapoint.
Ya, I love whoever made that subtitle.
And the hissings
“Inspired hissings” lmao
@@Chillfangerthanks, I think that too. Very annoying, especially since I actually need the subs and can't turn the distractions off
I like how Rowan loses the accent whenever the speech loses seriousness
Not entirely. The choice of words is different, but he still keeps parts of the accent ("Seriously?").
I thought it was totally in character :)
Clearly, they now have the budget for a stunt/fight coordinator, and im all for it
Huh? Their choreography has always been great.
I love the touch that the guy in Monk robes had martial arts moves
www.amandstunts.com/. This is their stunt coordinator. Have had him for quite awhile now.
@@lishe8287 thanks for the shoutout
@@amandstuntsnice.. doing some great work, VLDL have really upped their game in the fight scenes, take a well deserved bow mate
A vampire hunter does seem like the natural progression for a garlic farmer.
Man, now I want a RPG where your class and professions combine like that. Like really lean into it, that the garlic farmer part gives much stronger buffs than the hunter class if you're fighting vampires. Gives debuff when fighting werewolves though, they can smell you coming miles away.
Not, it's that the vampire hunter has retired but can't stop growing garlic and stocking potions and the like - just in case.
"You don't mess with pancake day." - Greg the Vampire Hunter
Greg finally getting a character arc while being one of the oldest characters on the channel is so awesome. When I saw the golden garlic grenade I literally shouted “GREG!!”
"Greg The Garlic Farmer, Vampire Hunter", not the story arc I thought I needed, but now I absolutely do!
''And then, I ripped out their hearts with my bare hands!'' -Greg
That must be the humble way of saying.. "I went straight up Kano from Mortal Kombat on his vampire ass. FATALITY!!!".
"And then, I made a comment that was just a quote directly from the video trying to get easy likes." -dman7644
Oh fantastic grandpa! Another story before bed please!
Oh fantastic grandpa! Another story before bed please!
He did a backflip, snapped the bad guys heart and saved the day
Clearly, Greg has levels in Monk. Must have retired from the monastery to continue the family tradition of farming.
"Zorro hissing"
"Cool Stunt sh!t"
"Well..."
"Disappearing hissing"
Don't forget "WTF Gasp"
i thought it gonna be Indiana Jones reference, where Greg throw garlic or something at him, but oh well xd
@@UltimRoGuE The scene with Adam flexing his rapier swinging skills is a reference to Indiana Jones.
I just love the idea of Greg becoming so aware as an NPC that the adventurer's aren't solving the issues of his world that he becomes the Neo of Azerim, taking care of each threat himself.
now i wanna see an army of Rowan Vampire NPCs (Agents) fighting greg the garlic farmer in a Matrixesque fightscene, and at the end greg snaps back from daydreaming to his garlic farmer spot lmao
He just wants him wife back.
Greg IS Neo!
When you suddenly transition from The Vampire Chronicles to What We Do in the Shadows. Fantastic!
Brit went extra hard on the costume
The fact more people don’t comment on how beautiful Brit is astounds me. I also loved the costume.
Maybe because they're not thirsty simps. @champzki
Heheh - "hard on"
@@Immopimmo LOL, nice
Fr though, I didn't even realise it was Britt until she spoke
A lot of people do not know that when you completely beat the game with every character at a hundred percent, it unlocks Greg as a playable character.
I love how the accent wandered all the way from Transylvania, to Scottish to Kiwi and somehow looped back around to South Africa? "I don't even remember you being invited", that is HARD accent to do on purpose let alone by accident. Amazing.
I legit love the concept of a garlic farmer living a secret life defeating vampires. It's even better that it's Greg.
It just proves that most NPCs are retired high level characters. 😅
We have seen small glimpses of the OP Greg as time has passed. Now we see it come to fruition as Greg the Vampire Slayer
No no no, not defeating vampires - defeating role players that pretend to be vampires!
That twist makes this so hard to watch - and then the other plot twist where bodger comes in. Genius combination.
SwampBeast is my new favourite character. The hay stuck in his nose was just perfect.
He's like sid from ice age

@@martinajurickova5750 And I thought it was because Greg, as a simple peasant, doesn't wash himself. Ups, my bad.

still better than twilight
the story of a teenage girl that is undecided between bestiality and necrophylia.... aaah such a romantic story
Finally, somebody else who finally realizes how twisted twilight truly was!.
Twilight is bad because they are thin bloods , Very very weak vampire as compared to Sabbath whom these guys are cosplaying.
WE finally have Greg lore!!!!!!!! The Dev totally nailed this DLC campaign!

They finally gave that Garlic Greg a story worthy of his name. Good job guys, keep up the good work.
The garlic grenade actually useful for once
That's always been its purpose.
Ok but the idea of a NPC name "Greg the garlic farmer" being a vampire hunter is so cool and make sense.
He should use his garlic like a whip or nunchuck.
a garlic mace
Entire subseries right there 🥲
What better way to keep vampires away and always be ready than to grow lots of garlic and stock many potions?
He even has a string of garlic bulbs that I can only assume are really "Garlic grenades" instead of a sword.
Such an awesome way to finally explain what a "garlic farmer" is doing in a town. :)
Yes, it's as cool idea as the amount of time it took them to realize the obvious.
Britt absolutely smashing it with that costume and makeup. Hair is amazing too.
And writing!

She is stunning 😍
Even more proof that we need a 'Greg's Adventure' sequel to Baelins Route
pretty sure this is the only channel on youtube with this level of quality. like what even is this? the sets, the outfits. this alone must have cost a fortune. for a sketch? unmatched
They have reused the tavern for a number of sketches at this point, costumes have been around for AGES in some cases like gregs.
Alan leaving Tech Town and him not being in the last episode combined with him only appearing later in this clip had me worried for a moment before he showed up , glad he did!

Why the Blacksmith doesn't believe the Epic NPC garlic farmer? Because the Blacksmith is a Legendary NPC whose legendary background story we have yet to experience.
Greg the garlic farmer is my new favorite hero ahahahaha
And on that day, Greg went from farming garlic, to farming vampires for exp.
Totally awesome!! I was not expecting that at all. Greg going all warrior mode, getting bit but having garlic blood, catching arrows and totally dominating everyone. And Britt with black hair!!
It's total moncmode but to the rest I fully agree ;)
After Bodger walks off, cut to Baelin who's been watching and listening: A little nod of acknowledgement from Baelin, his quick chuckle, and off he walks.
"You need to check with your Thrall..." was genius 😂
The lighting for the tavern, Britt's costume, the smoke effects, all fantastic!
