I think this version of Mary Mack misses the point of the song. It seems to be more about how intense and fast Great Big Sea can perform the piece rather than the story that it tells. Yes, the tempo does get faster in the end, but it's supposed to be hectic not exhilarating. The song's about the hustle and bustle before a wedding after all.
