Hi Kate! Quick question, but do I need to generate a new link every time I make changes to the original canva template? Or will the link automatically include all these new changes?
It should automatically update, but you can always test it to be sure.

Hi Kate. Thanks for a great video, very informative. I want to start an Etsy store selling Canva templates and am currently on the research stage. I have a question that I haven’t been able to find answered on other videos though. When creating the template, would you include the imagery you’ve used or would you remove those so the customer just has the frame? I’ve seen some listings say that images in templates are just for promotional purposes and the actual template won’t have any pre-filled images. Hope that makes sense!
I’ve seen both but I would probably just leave the frame where they can then add their own (unless it’s a photo without use of a frame)

It’s the same link- it will automatically open a new copy for each new person :)

Nope, just upload your PDF file with the template link once to your listing and it’ll be automatically delivered each time someone purchases your listing.

Hi I was wondering how do you sell on Etsy.or other website.... if you create the templates with free options what stop the person go and create a free account in canva a take the temples for free . Second If i create a template with pro options and made a link to sell in my pro account on canva. it is possible sell it with options to edit?

Hi Kate, so if I use canva pro can a client download the file from Etsy without needing a canva account or is that only if they want to edit the download?
They will need a Canva account to edit the template but they don’t need pro- can do it just fine with a free account!

Hi Kate Thanks for this informative video! but I have a question, when I click my link in my pdf it says 2 options which are "Edit template" and "Use template for new design". The problem is when I click "Edit template" it directs to my real template which can be edited by anyone and is possible to ruin the template. If the buyer purchases my template, do they have the 2 options too? or is it just mine? I saw a video that you need the canva pro so no one can edit the real template. Should I get a canva pro then?
Hi friend, you just need to share the link called “template link” and they will have their own copy that won’t effect the original. You don’t have to be a Pro user to do this

Yes you can definitely use Canva to create your designs! Just make sure to read the licensing terms if you use the free or pro content because they are different for each.

The fact that there are other sellers in the niche is actually a good sign (proof of demand)! There are brand new shops opening and breaking through with consistent sales all the time :)
Nothing is ever over saturated when you’re yourself and in your purpose! Once u step out of that, you’ll notice it’s not working! Focus on the things that you love and make templates around those things!
How would the link work if you deleted the source Canva template maybe two months later for some reason?

Yes you can use elements that you upload into Canva, and your buyer will have access to them on the design. As always just be sure to read the specific licensing information for the elements you purchase.
