One thing I loved a lot about Mo Dao Zu Shi/ The Untamed is how there was never a clear line between right and wrong, good or bad, even if people were so willing to put labels on actions. Majority of the characters in the show had personalities, motives or repeating actions that weren’t entirely good but weren’t entirely evil either (with the exception of a few characters). Yea the Characters have very well written personality, and their story. There is pain somewhere, but i hate Jin Guang San the playboy huh, i never like xue yang but i cant hate him , XIng chen was right if he want revenge, revenge on the person that break his finger why kill 50 innocent but i suspect XY is right he actually revenged for Xing Chen not himself. Xue yang only needed a person who could teach him right or wrong. When he finally got one, he too was taken away from him. Xue yang had a difficult childhood with no one who showed him kindness or loved him, so how can we judge him as a villain? It just makes me cry so much.
Ananya Mandal if I might say something I don’t think xue yang would go out of his way unless he had to, when it comes to hurting wei ying. As he said himself, he admires wei ying, and thinks of him as someone he wants to be like. Working with Meng Yao was just something to do, some fun to have, someone to follow.
When I read the novel Yi City Arc made me cry because of Xiao Xiengchen and Song Lan and how fate worked in the twisted way but when I watched the drama I cried my eyes out but this time for Xue Yang. The person who I thought was the villain also became the victim The acting of Xue Yang's actor was superb he conveyed all the emotion that a reader cannot understand while reading the novel, that how much Xiao Xiengchen meant for him. Xiao Xiengchen showed him kindness that he ever needed and no one ever gave it to him. 😭😭😭
I know xue yang came to grow an attachment to xing chen bc he saved his life and treated him well. But through all that time, he still manipulated xing chen into killing innocent villagers and even his BEST FRIEND. For that, I don’t see redemption for xue yang. I feel bad for what his character went through as a child, but he was twisted and full of hatred with no character growth.
Lily Ly his character didn’t notice all that he did until it was too late. I think he’s one of those characters that if he would have managed to stay alive and received some guidance he could have changed. Because he know knew consequence and what someone caring for you was like. Of course we would never get to see.
Lily Ly I would say that maybe because Xue Yang didn’t feel like he can be with the pure and “justified” Xiao Xing Chen that he had to make him like him. Not pure and broken, so that they can be together.
This is so heartbreaking. I love Xingchen hes one of my fave characters ever and he deserves so much better. Yi City is my ultimate onion, a massive knife and the sharpest. I dont know how to move on from their story, it will always bring tears and terrible ache in my heart. Now Im shedding tears by just watching this vid and Gu Cheng being such a beautiful song isnt helping
The Yi City Arc had me crying all over every time I watched The Untamed. The song is so beautiful that every time I listen to this song or even think of their story, it makes me cry. It truly is a very saddening story but also, to me, very lovely.
Same. i think mdzs is the most tear-jerking compare to tgcf and svsss. too many death and tragic love story. Xueyang&XXC tragic love- rival story. Huaisang&Mingjue tragic love-siblings story. Jiang Yanli & Jin Zixuan tragic love couple. wen ning & his family (i cried a lot when their corpse came to help wwx and wenning cried calling them). Lan zhan and weiying originally a tragic too but the author still spare on them.

Xiao Xingchen and Wei Wuxian are indeed similar.. they gave up something for their loved ones (eyes and golden core) and they ended up killing themselves because they did something bad trying to do something good, which is not entirely their fault at all..

Xue Yang shows how the way he was wasn’t what he wanted but was the only way he knew to live....him holding the candy made me cry 😭 and broke my heart and showed he also wanted a different life with happiness and love.

Xiao Xing Chen and Wen Ning are the 2 characters most memorable to me, apart from WWX and LWJ . From the first time I saw them, they captivated me immediately. Both are the epitome kindness, pure and loyal heart.
You guys should make a movie about their story I actually want to see their story it it only part on the untamed and I really would love to watch one of their story since there seems to be two movies of the other characters from the untamed
This is why untamed is impossible be exceeded. XueYang, Xiao Xinchen, Jin Guangyao, Jin zixuan, Jiang cheng , etc. all the characters are special, unique and controversial. Their stories supports the main plot so well and naturally! Thanks for the novel author Mo Xiang.

Then, an adaptation of it made into "The Untamed" that was loved and cherished by many from the mainland China to around the world. The casts gained appreciation and popularity from their country to international fans as well. It opened opportunities to them. It's the only drama that made into a huge concert with all the characters participating. Not just one concert but a lot! And...Now! They made a group called TUBS (Ji Li, Fanxing, Yubin, Bowen, Jiyang, and Yuchen) although not an official boy group, it's a good thing not to waste such a talent. After The Untamed, two move spin-offs were made which are "Fatal Journey" and "The Living Dead" because of demands. These are stories of Nie brothers (Nie Mingjue and Nie Huaisang) on how and what's the story behind Huiasang's revenge to Jin Guangyao in TU. The other is the story of Wen Ning and Wen Yuan (Sizhui) on their journey of being the last Wens in the drama. Many projects were done because of the strong request from all fans accross the world. Now, they're planning to have a world tour of TUBS. This is so dramatically amazing
This story is the most tragic story i have ever read in my life in a book. And his soul was shattered beyond repair after all the painful things he encountered. Can't forgive for what Xue yang did, yet he is also a victim, who had never received any love in life other than kindness from XXC.
Xue yang did caught the remaining soul shreds into a pouch that could save the soul. That’s why he tried to get Wei Ying’s team into that city. Xue Ying tried to get Wei Ying heal Xing Chen’s soul. But in the end he still got killed by Wei Ying.

I cried my eyes out, I wanted more of the relationship between Xue Yang and Xing Chen. Xue Yang was a cute little baby under his evil ways. He just needed a friend like Xingchen from the beginng.
It's amazing how the actor portray the characters and left a huge impact as a side story, given the small amount of screentime for XXC, SL and XY! This song has amazing meaning behind it, sang by Ah Qing, just like how she revealed how XXC died in the show. My heart still ache for the trio :(

There is no such so called cruel villians to hate deeply. They all had miserable childhood. They just wanted someone who could show love and kindness to them💔 but the time they got, they were already too late to turn back to right😢.

everytime i hear this song i'm transported back into the show and i just feel so god damn stuck in the entire thing again. this drama and the novel itself is truly something that changed my life. and the yi city arc truly broke me. every single one of their lives and stories broke me.
This song still gave me goosebumps and my heart broke into pieces even i already hear it for times. Yi city is the saddest moment from all of TU storyline. Because we knew WWX will come back, not with XXC. Thats why i'm very in love with TU. Really masterpiece!! I can not find another series until now that can beat it.

This Yi City Arc is so devastating that it is like a knife repeatedly stabs my heart ... yet I keep coming back ... crying in pain. The only consolation is watching the actors' interviews ... SJY (XXC), WHX (XY), LBW (SL) ... watching their cute faces and caring interactions help me heal from this drama.
The fate of these three just broke my heart everytime. I feel so helpless I know I want to blame xue yang but at the same time I can't. I will love "TU" forever.❤️
The Untamed is and always be my favorite TV show, I love everything about it, the ost is one of these, I'm impressed for the voices these two young people singing have ❤️. It gives you a deep feeling just as the story they are telling 😞❤️.

I cried when I saw Xiao Xingceng's story
This story is the most tragic story i have ever read in my life in a book. And his soul was shattered beyond repair after all the painful things he encountered. Can't forgive for what Xue yang did, yet he is also a victim, who had never received any love in life other than kindness from XXC.
Xue yang did caught the remaining soul shreds into a pouch that could save the soul. That’s why he tried to get Wei Ying’s team into that city. Xue Ying tried to get Wei Ying heal Xing Chen’s soul. But in the end he still got killed by Wei Ying.
The Untamed casts really made a good job

It's amazing how the actor portray the characters and left a huge impact as a side story, given the small amount of screentime for XXC, SL and XY! This song has amazing meaning behind it, sang by Ah Qing, just like how she revealed how XXC died in the show. My heart still ache for the trio :(

I can never get over xiao xingchen's death no matter how many times i watch😭. I can't blame xue yang either😭. Sometimes i regret watching untamed cuz..... it's way beyond too good😳. There is no such so called cruel villians to hate deeply. They all had miserable childhood. They just wanted someone who could show love and kindness to them💔 but the time they got, they were already too late to turn back to right😢.
Same, Xiao Xingchen's death made me sob so muchn I love him agh 😭😭😭😭

(Cried while watching this) Xue Yang finally found someone who treats him with kindness and when xingchen killed himself after learning his friend was turned into a “monster” XUE YANG “THREATENED” TO ‘KILL’ HIM IF HE DIDNT WAKE UP!! this just goes to show that Xue Yang didn’t have an amazing childhood and was growing up “wrong” with violence and when he met someone who treated him “right” it was too late to save him.
