I feel like that’s almost every boxer I’ve ever heard speak in the aftermath of a loss, especially a big one. I’ve really never heard one that didn’t at least sneak in a little excuse of some kind.
I think this is because needing a powerful ego is so important in fighting sports. It makes sense, but I’m still waiting for one boxer to ever fully admit they were beaten and not slide in an excuse somewhere.

Why are these results even publicly disclosed if it’s not a failure and happen fairly often? Completely irresponsible and allows people like Bellew to run with false narratives.
If an atypical result like this is easily explainable AND doesn’t constitute a failure, this information shouldn’t be made public. It’s not fair at all to Beterbiev who by all reports for 20 years now lives a pure boxing life. A life of training and being drug/alcohol free that would greatly contribute to higher levels of certain hormones at times in an athlete about to turn 39.

Maybe its the fact which hard to accept for Callum Smith, the main problem for him is his style of boxing.
With his height of 1.91 m and his reach he could easy fighting in heavyweight division, but he is totally unable to use his advantage due to lack of basic boxing skills and constantly making the same mistakes which his trainer Buddy McGuirt cannot reduce and improve, because these are the things which are coming from a very early days in boxing.
a) he is fighting with most of his weight on his front foot and always slouching hard and as a result he has no great movement or footwork, and its makes him slow.
b) he has no good jab from his left hand and as a result he is unable to use his advantage fighting on a long distance with the opponents
Just take a look at Henry Maske boxing style and he had almost the same physical attributes at the light-heavy.
These are fundamental skills are the differs elite fighter from just a good one, they have to accept that
P.S. Callum Smith was a punching bag for a very small Canelo, how would they expected to deal with Beterbiev, who was a world champion in cruiserweight in amateurs? Such a joke

It's easy to understand if you have even the most cursory of knowledge.
Artur hadn't been able to work out fully for some time. This gave his
numbers a chance to rise as he wasn't torturing his body and using up
his natural stores. Then he would have begun intensifying his workouts.
The tests map this perfectly. His numbers would have been raised for a short time, spiking with the reintroduction of intense workouts
and then being consumed by the aggressive training back to expected ranges.
This was a coward move to release these results and I guarantee they were explained to them without ambiguity.
When Liam beat Eubank and Eubank made excuses Liam ripped him apart for it when liam got beat by Eubank he made excuses and now he’s brothers been smashed into retirement more excuses, Bellew said Benn was innocent even tho he failed 2 test but beterbiev is a drug cheat and didn’t fail no test scousers lost there mind 😂😂😂

The main issue is the follow up confirmatory test’s (CIR) (IRMS) weren’t conducted to determine if the testosterone levels were from endogenous or exogenous consumption. YES the test were negative, but the confirmatory tests were not conducted, so the test results were not conclusive enough to exonerate him. “Atypical” means higher than normal? So were those from endogenous or exogenous consumption?
