I’m going to write this as if Megan herself will read it! (I know… dream on, right?!).
Megan, I saw your light bursting through my screen whenever you took to the stage on AI. Not all talent have it. Some are good but don’t resonate with that pure light like you do. I was going to say that I don’t know where it comes from but that is not true… It’s from God and you’ve got it! It’s transformative, powerful, and pure. This mixed with the uniqueness of your voice…your extraordinary voice that is textured like the strings on a steel-stringed guitar and has a perfectly balanced amount of natural raspiness and grit that gets people hooked! This makes you an unstoppable force! You’re changing lives and you’re going to change millions more… just by sharing your God-given gifts! The world needs your light! So thank you! Very grateful!

@@ShawnBakerOffical On UA-cam you can watch Megan not many performances. I LOVED the fact it was Kelly Clarkson who turned for her!!!!!!!! Blake during The Battles realized how wrong he was for NOT turning for her!!!!!! Kelly chose her BOTH in the Battles as well as in the Knockouts!!!!! She was only 17 but sang like Megan does!!!! I saw that she got to the top 9. Sadly, I think it was right after The Knockout Round, that everything was shut down due to COVID on her season. AND the coaches were all listening from home. BUT...I'm actually glad she didn't win on The Voice, b/c they don't get as many opportunities to sing week after week like Idol. AND you can tell at least for me the biggest difference, is she has looked happier & more freer each week on American Idol!!!!!! Obviously also what her Papa told her at 18 also impacted her. AND she's never shied away from sharing her faith!!!!!! That aspect I don't remember.
I just remember Kelly was SHOCKED if you watch her in the Blinds when she turned no other coach did. BUT she blew ALL the Coaches away during the Battles!!!!! I think it just wasn't her time. AND as a whole I've ENJOYED her song choices more on Idol.
She did sing "Piece By Piece" for her Knockout Round which obviously suited her & personalized it when sang, "7 yrs old" when for Kelly, she was 6 when her Dad left & walked out of her life.

As for Dream Girl, this is a solid original song. If I'm being honest, I like my Megan songs with a full serving of Rasp and Gravel, ..lol but that's just me. At the age of 29,God took him home to live in heaven with him. He was killed while restoring power from a strong storm that had come through our state.
