That “Thanks, my mom made it for me” line is straight from a comic book, and it’s probably the most adorable, quintessentially Superman moment I’ve ever seen
"My Mum made it" scene is directly taken out of the comic books.

Exactly. The more people complain, the more the show is going to be perceived as bad quality. In this case, it seems like everyone has been very positive about it.
I have really enjoyed this show but I am waiting for this show to turn to shit. Would be nice if this show keeps it up though
The flash for me is boring and bland because of that, also like every CW show, but this show nailed that.

I think it’s because they die just like any of our relatives could. It’s one thing to know hey they got killed by a supervillain, but it’s another thing for them to die naturally

@@CitizenoftheWorld1 Just because Johnathan Kent Died by a Tornado in Man of Steel doesn't mean Zach Snyder doesn't know shit about Superman....that's just how he wanted Jonathan Kent to end in that movie..... I will admit that I hated it also, because in every other iteration of Superman Johnathan Kent Dies from a heart attack, but like I said, that doesn't mean Zach Snyder doesn't know shit about Superman.
Because it shows that as powerful as Superman is, he can’t save everyone. He can’t stop death.
Very impressed by the music, storytelling, VFX, emotion. The first 5 minutes of this show was better then most things WB DC has ever done. Felt genuine and felt angst/love. This is going to be helluva ride.
The flash would’ve saved the scene where Superman put the iceberg in the reactor to cool it down until the end, they would’ve made a whole episode of someone overloading nuclear reactors 😂
Superman solving other heroes' episodes in 5 minutes just feels right, too. Because he's not A hero, he's THE hero

@@marshjelloman8054 you'd be surprised how many people have not put that information together. So many have said they've seen crisis and are aware of the multiverse. But this happened and just shows some have seen but not paid close attention to it.
Since he is from another Earth and trying to stop Superman from going evil and destroying the planet is based on Earth-3's Alexander Luthor Jr., it's possible he could be Lex Luthor's son.

Hey Alaskan, love the reaction and at 5:00 you mention that Superman would be a danger to the Normies around him due to him being irradiated. However in the comics it’s radiation from the Earth’s Sun that gives Superman his powers in the first place and he’s able to dissipate the harmful gamma rays similar to how after being in a burning building he can shake a fireman’s hand without burning the hell out of him.

The only reason this show stands out over the rest of the CW DC shows is that HBO Max budget coming in clutch
The writing is also more solid than a lot of cw shows

This show is different from the other arrowverse shows
Jordan has such great character development
One of the reasons this show looks so much better than other CW shows is because they're teaming up with HBO max and throwing something like triple the budget at this show than they have with other CW shows.
HBO Max is not involved yet

@@danielpurdy9328 I wouldn't be surprised if it was also partially in response to the marvel disney+ shows announcements too. it was pretty obvious that those budgets were going to be crazy and that marvel would snatch the crown for superhero shows (especially with a lot of viewer interest dying out with the other CW shows)

Superman & Lois is, BY FAR, the best thing to come from the CW/DC Arrowverse. It stands completely on it’s own and features my absolute favorite portrayals of both Clark Kent and Lois Lane

I don't know if we are sure he's LEX Luthor yet. He might be, but we haven't gotten his name yet. Just "Captain Luthor". Even IMDb only lists him as "Captain Luthor/The Stranger" with no first name. I am wondering if he could be another Luthor - a relative - and not actually Lex. But like I said, he could be Lex. He is from another planet/alternate universe after all.
I had the same thoughts about the radiation you are the only other person to bring that up.

Mark 11:14. Howdy! I guess that you don't keep up with, "Batwoman"? Bruce Wayne, has been MIA for quite some time now, hence how the first, "Batwoman", came to be. But that actress got injured and quit. So now they have a replacement, and we have a different, "Batwoman", now. Still no signs of B.W. though, except for an imposter. So now we know what he is meant to look like at least.
"Superman and Lois", is ahead of the other series, because the others only knew about the babies/toddlers. Clark was able to get Lois pregnant, by spending just enough time without powers, in Argo City.
However the, "Crisis On Infinite Earth's", has rewritten some time lines, by destroying quite a few alternate Earths and the universes that they existed in. For example, the universe of the Adam West & Burt Ward series and movie, was one of the first universes destroyed. That series has crossover links to so many other series, that those shows are gone too. The original "Birds of Prey" series universe, was wiped away too, to make room for the movie version, with Margot Robbie.
COVID-19, caused the already existing series on, "The CW", to fall behind production schedule, while "Batwoman" had that plus an injured actress that quit. But this new series, had no such problems. Only what has happened previously on, "Supergirl", whose new upcoming season is said to be the final one. "Black Lightning", is currently in its final season.
So those of that keep up with the, "Arrowverse", are looking for signs of acknowledgment of the others. So far, nothing yet. Kara, wasn't even shown at either funeral!
By the way! "Smallville", is a part of the "DC" multiverse, that did not survive the, Crisis. Tom Welling & Erica Durant, even appeared!
Mark 16:41. Except that, "Lex Luthor", in this universe, is played by the actor that played, "Alan", in "Two And A Half Men". Meanwhile, the animated series, "Harley Quinn", has an African-American "Lex Luthor". While, "Krypton", had a Black "General Zod" whose ancestor was a White "Jor-El", if I recall right.
When Tom Welling's "Clark Kent", met this show's, Clark, Lois, and then the "Lex", from "Supergirl", there was some humor when the women compared the Clark's, and when Tom's "Clark" talked about how his, "Lex", is "POTUS"!
He is from an alternate universe. Remember the multiverse was combined into one universe
Only Earth Prime is a combination of different Earth's but the rest got rebooted. The Multiverse still exists but this Luthor is seemingly from a destroyed Pre-Crisis Universe.

I love the superman and lois show very very much.
So I wanted to see a reaction that judges it honestly, Instead what I got was not a honorable review and that is why I unsubscribed.
If you have read it as I wrote it and not just looking on half of the sentence, You would see that even if he had slammed Howard the Duck, the only thing that would have changed is the name of the movie he slammed there.

Lolll the way they cast actual adults as 14 year olds. It was always funny to me with the TV castings.
It's because of labor laws. Child actors are only allowed on set so many hours a day and a certain amount of days each week. They also have set them up with schooling. It's much easier to cast young looking adults. The actor that plays Jordan is only 16 though. Jonathan is 19.
