    Great for DP world tour

    It’s great for people like me who actually bother to go to the events to see the best golfers in the world play live. In fact, I marshall at both LIV and DP events and cannot wait until next year knowing the DP events will be stacked with stars. If the regular DP pros can’t compete with the LIV lot, that is only their problem.

    Golf needs a bit of spice. Having LIV players play DP or PGA adds something to talk about. You will get LIV fans attend and support their players at DP and PGA events. Its great for the game to have rivalry

    By the end of next year if the PGAtour don’t strike a deal with LIV, then DPWorld will sort out a deal with LIV and there will be a coalition between them and the Asian Tour for a proper world golf tour ….

    Sounds good. DP World Tour gets a bunch of big players to draw crowds and boost ratings.
    Fills a bit of the void with the PGA taking the top 10 players each year.
    I want to see them in the majors, not just fade away in 2 or 3 years as their ranking enevitably tanks.

    Why is it OK for European stars on the PGS Tour to turn up at DP World events but not LIV?
    DP set themselves up to fail when they agreed to be a second tier feeder tour for PGAT. A partnership with LIV could rebalance the world and give the PGAT a much needed wakeup call

    “Don’t count other people’s money.” And, at least in the US, the attitude of fans about the Ryder Cup is “who cares”. The PGA of America priced the everyday fan out of the event, the PGA Tour has priced us out of regular tournaments. I play the game because I love it, not because of the PGA Tour, DP, LIV, the Ryder Cup or President’s Cup.

    They are self-employed and can play anywhere that will have them. If they were injured did dp world tour and pga tour take care of them? The tours used these players for their own ends and cry when they get a better offer elsewhere

    I can't see an issue with them returning.
    How do you think the DP Tour players feel about players who play the majority of their events on the PGA Tour and only play 4-5 events on the DP Tour yet somehow have more Race to Dubai points than those who have played all year on the DP Tour.
    This whole you left for another Tour deal with it is a joke.
    As Poulter said, his whole career he had played all over the world on multiple tours.

    It stinks. DP have been made to look stupid and the Ryder Cup should ban them. They had a number to buy them. They sold out and it should mean no Majors and no Ryder Cup.

    • @dbo4506
      @dbo4506 9 днів тому

      Peanut. Golf is their job. They got offered more money to do their job. So they changed companies. That doesn’t banish you from world golf 😂 pGA had a monopoly on golf. Golf doesn’t belong to the PGA. Simple as that. The only stupid thing going on simple minded fellows like yourself acting like taking a job that pays more for less work is somehow wrong 😂

    If I become a member of 2 golf courses, it's my business. So why can't tour pros play multiple tours. They've paid the fines, so they can play. Good. The PGA trying to strong arm golf.
    Oh and it doesn't seem to matter if someone leave the European tour to play the US tour, does it.

    What about the guys who turned down offers from LIV because they wanted to have a chance of Ryder Cup?
    Now their loyalty to the tour is worth nothing. Same with the PGA. I bet McIlroy, Lowry etc are kicking themselves, they could have been millions of dollars better off.

    • @andrew_l1900

      You can’t claim compensation for turning down a job opportunity, they could have said yes but they didn’t want to cop the media backlash plain and simple. They got to virtue signal and act all high and mighty so don’t cry now

    • @dbo4506
      @dbo4506 9 днів тому +1

      That’s too bad so sad. For starters big money deals only went to PGA tour players. And secondly LIV players took the risk going to LIV. Now it’s working out for them the ones who were too scared to take that risk don’t deserve compensation 😂 that’s a wild point of view Kevin.

    • @kevins2961
      @kevins2961 9 днів тому

      @@dbo4506 That didn't take any risk. They either went for huge money, more than their career earnings (DJ Raam etc) or were at the end of their career and took a very nice pension paycheck (Ian Poulter)
      They got a massive bonus, still played the majprs on their exemptions and are now back in the fold, Gravy all the way!

    These LIV players won't bring many more patrons because they will only play the flagship events on the DP World tour. They should still be subject to seeking permission for LIV events and potentially being fined. They are taking money away from people who have continued to support the DP World tour. I'm shocked you think that Trump will fix anything . Personally I would only like LIV players to be in The Ryder Cup team if they qualify on merit. They made their choice and now are moaning about not qualifying for world ranking points.

  • @Pointmikecalibre

    Quite frankly, I couldn't give a flying monkeys about who plays where. I simply want to see the best golfers in the world playing golf and competing against each other. Money has now detracted so much from the game it's ridiculous. We just want to see great golfers play great golf and I could careless where or what tour that is.

    These LIV players can pay the fine and play DP. For hopes of Ryder and President cup. But the captain picks the players. Who is to say they get picked. It is about team unity.

  • @jakeruiz7421

    Why is golf the only sport where you are expected to not be paid if you don’t play well? The worst player in every other professional sport still gets paid a living. And the PGA tour is getting ready to only be 100 people…

  • @sylvandude1
    @sylvandude1 8 днів тому

    PGA or any other tour has zero loyalty to any player. You have to qualify. Pro golfers need to make money to live. PGA pulled a lot of dirty stuff changing policy to try to keep the best players there so they can make the most money. Which is the Tour’s job. I think rivalry is good. The Public loves drama. Why change it?

    6 of the LIV players in The Masters 2024 got beat by Olazabal, Couples, Weir, Singh, etc. They stink and are only getting worse.

    • @DocGolf
      @DocGolf 9 днів тому +2

      Couples only beat 2 of them.
      Did you want me to list how many PGA/DP Tour players were beaten by these same players you listed? The list is a lot bigger

  • @RJ_S_182
    @RJ_S_182 9 днів тому +1

    Its all about money, if there is a fundamental problem with players playing LIV, then paying a fine doest fix the problem, its just says, okay, give me a piece of the pie, and we will look the other way... weird.
    So lets say someone else wants to play at LIV, do they just pay a 4 mil upfrint fee to DP and off they go? This makes zero sense... just let poeple play where they want to and leave it at that. Its just getting worse by this type of reasoning.
