if your looking do to this, I recommend doing a quick release system so you can change the rim back rather than just changing the rim. This mod is not for everyone as it can decrease your FFB feeling..
I was wondering why the wheel would lose some force feedback, and I think it is when you unplug the circuit board. So I was wondering if it was possible to do this mod without unplugging the circuit board
@Mr. Anonymoose the loss of FFB is nothing to due with the hardware itself, more so the bigger rim that is put in the smaller rims place. The wheel used with the G29 is designed to size to work with the hardware. Bigger car sized rims are too big for the G29s hardware simple physics, its why breaker bars are a thing. Bigger Rim means you get more accuracy, it takes longer to turn, but its easier to counteract the ffb.
Hey I have the same wheel and adapter as you but the screws to put the adapter on aren't long enough to go into the g29.. do I need to buy longer ones?
The paddle shifters with that large wheel are useless in the stock position. Also lose a lot of button options as well. The big wheel would be nice but losing the functionality of the buttons and paddle shifters makes it a nonstarter.
For one, this is mostly used as a drift setup. If you need those pedals simply don't install a bigger wheel or get the extended pedals. The g29 was not made for a bigger wheel in the first place.
The steering wheel used in video would be a great wheel for NASCAR stock car racing & American truck simulator. Logitech, should take notice of what gaming people want and build a bigger diameter wheel and separate button boxes. I built my own custom button box for ATS. Thanks for the how to video.

Use can get a spacer for the wheel and there are mods for the paddles that make them bigger/they come out more so you can reach them.
