This is a review of the KastKing Royal Legend Baitcaster reel.
here is a description and some stats.

Double shielded, stainless-steel BB’s and ball bearing sleeves support the pinion gear and main shaft delivering a 35% increase in smoothness under load compared to the original Royale Legend Baitcaster Reels. This new design structure increases durability by an astounding 30%. Royale Legend II is lighter and stronger than the previous model.
TWO GEAR RATIOS - KastKing Royale Legend II baitcasters are ready for any technique. If you need a slow gear ratio reel for crankbaits or slower presentations, use the 5.4:1 model that allows you to slowly work lures for more strikes. For pitching jigs or burning baits at high speed, choose the 7.2:1 gear ratio model that quickly picks up fishing line at 26.8” per turn of the handle making it easy to catch up to fish or make quick follow up casts.

I have a ton of reels including this one and for $40 it can't be beat.
its spool weight around 13grams. So it can cast light lures but not like 100% bFs still good tho. Tight lines !

I just now found your channel and subscribed based on what I see as an honest opinion with video proof to back it up. I have been looking for a baitcaster that won't break the bank and I kept seeing Kastking versus (insert company name here.) I have to say that everything I have seen really makes me want to try them out. Are you still loving this baitcaster 8 months later? Yes I do believe that you are the Bob Ross of UA-cam while you cast near all of those happy trees lol. I'm really thinking about pulling the trigger on one of these reels. I'm new to baitcasters and this will probably be my first one so I'm pretty sure there will be a lot of bird's nests in my immediate future but, you made it look so easy to straighten it out.

Yes i am still very happy with Kast King. It is still just as smooth.
You will be happy with it. And yes backlashes are just a part of fishing baitcasters. But baitcasters are worth it😃😃

For a 3/4oz -1oz swim bait, what # on the left sided dial would you put it at?
I have the same exact combo as you the only difference is my pole costed me 52 instead of 30😂😂 wish I would have got that discounted price and my reel is a left handed reel

who cares if it's made in america? americans don't want factory jobs anyway. at least the chinese want their jobs. i'd rather someone make my stuff that wants to do it. the notion that made in america is better is archaic and stupid. would you rather drive a chrysler or a toyota? did enjoy watching you fish though. soothing, relaxing voice. might be good for my insomnia.
