Curbasi is like Van Dijk for he positions himself very well and Faye has got poor positioning and he depends on his athleticism(reactive) to bail him out and ends up tackling a lot. Faye is similar to Josko, Upamecano and Kounde, Araujo though Faye makes a lot of tackles and his passing is below that of Curbasi.

As seen in this video, he is a NO NONSENSE kind of player, who stays back, when his partner commits foward, hence the reason for his last ditch tackles and clearances. The truth is that Faye doesn’t have the positioning as Cubarsi but makes it up with his aggressive nature in winning the ball, if you look at it well you’d see that’s what Barcelona really needs an aggressive defender and a composed one just like pique and puyol. It would make up for a lot of lost balls upfield during counter attacks, honestly speaking the duo of faye and cubarsi is something beautiful then araujo to be with them as well.
