I feel you can hear a great progression in Schnittke's piano writing, its much more developed here than in previous works. Amazing
Incredible!
Wonderful music !
Super.
Thje so-called polystylistic style of Schnittke reaches here a high level of integration and expessivity. This concerto grosso is awesome.
Wow, this is beautiful. Both dark and bright at the same time.
Get here the violin and piano lead, and an entire orchestra that gives the amazing depth to music.
Get here both beautiful and hard classical music. You get Schnittke's disharmonical and his harmonious sides, and you get much, much more.
Finally, listen to the whole end and judge yourself. You will not regret it. Super music.
A splendid piece of music... Schnittke never ceases to amaze me!
Keith Bickerstaffe totally agree
Lots of pain
I still have a great deal of Schnittke to listen to. Right now String Quartet 3 is the quintessence of his polystylism.
0:03 is a good place to start.
It is good, but I like the older, funnier ones. 😁
amazing...
A great piece of music!!!
Is that crashing crescendo sound that occurs twice between roughly
2:00 and 3:40 enhanced in anyway? It seems to go beyond super heavy key bashing and enters the realm of a full physical assault on the piano?
Although I prefer bigger orchestra, it's hard to deny that this work is wonderful
