Considering Artos' Bolton half-brother died, his Thenn bastard son definitely needs to be set up as a Daemon Blackfyre-style pretender to Donner. If Artos is also a witch, he should be able to eventually convert his kids to witchcraft and set up a Stark coven. It could be possible for Artos (through his Queen's very high learning) to indoctrinate his kids into the more "occult" traditions of the Old Old Gods in preparation for eventually reforming the faith. Does also help tie into the more intrigue-oriented/villainous path Artos is now going on. Could also create a lot of future drama!
Just finished watching the House Velaryon series after binging House Dayne. Enjoying the House Stark one now on release and have been watching your videos since House Blackwood. You always stay true to the story and make realistic choices, which keeps everything entertaining and worth watching. Keep up the great work and congrats on all the success!
in 2024, you were my top gaming creator in my UA-cam gaming recap. apparently I’m in the top 2% of Stray King viewers, so I just wanted to thank you for keeping me entertained in 2024. happy new year!
kinda disappointed the giant couple aren’t having kids they would seem like an interesting bloodline to have under the stark banner (though i do have the head canon that since they knew artos since he was a kid, they pseudo-adopted him as their own. he’s still a stark obviously, but they still watched over him as if he was their own )
I personally do not see a problem with Artos having been progressing slowly into being a more neutral evil type character, its interesting. He's not outright cruel, but he is authoritarian and willing to do controversial things without care of how others view it, such as with the witch craft he is fascinated with. It makes sense he would be this way when you look at how traumatizing his childhood was from losing his family the way he did in this timeline and then having to fight for years to take back the Stark claim against all odds. This would make him in the years now after becoming King very serious and willing to do whatever it takes to enforce his rule and power, even if it is arrogant or harsh in order to avoid such a thing ever occurring again.
Happy New Years! I think I speak for a lot of people when I say you are consistently putting out the best CK3 AGOT content. I spent hours looking for the right fit of a series + commentator that I liked, and you've captivated me ever since so hats off to you. Cheers to more insane RP lore in 2025!
Its probably 2 reasons you can't currently press your kids' claims, first yes he has a regent, but it looks to be one for travel, aka temporary and second you pretty much can never press a child's claim gotta wait for them to be an adult also trying to place a kid on the throne and expecting them to stay there is hilarious he's gonna be overthrown or killed in a few months
I was kinda mixed on giving your bastard a title, but now that you've acknowledged him I can imagine a ton of fun storytelling that can come from a bastard cadet branch. From his actions I'd assume that Artos prefers Karlon over his trueborn son. Maybe he thinks Donnor is a wimp because he's never faced hardships in his youth like he did, either way it'll be fun to see what's going to happen after the succession.
Kenron Frey and Marianne Stark is an interesting match. Both have that classic Tully hair, so it kind of keeps the Riverlands looking like the Tullys are still around, even if a Frey ruling Riverrun feels a bit wrong. At least their kid would still be 37.5% Tully or something like that. That said, I think it’d be cool if the Freys at the Crossing stayed Freys, but the ones at Riverrun got a new house name. With their mix of Stark, Tully, and Frey blood, they’d deserve something different to set them apart. Maybe House Frostbridge, or something like that? In a few generations, I could see Artos’s great-great-grandkids splitting things up, with one sibling inheriting Riverrun and the other taking the Crossing. That way, the Frey name sticks to the Crossing, but Riverrun keeps some of that old Tully vibe.
@PedroMiguel5712 Probably not. If Kenron is the primary heir, not even a baron would accept a matrilineal marriage to an emperor. Ck3 AI does not like matrilineal marriages at all, and Westerosi don't as well lmao 😂. The only time we see a "matrilineal marriage" happening in Westeros is with Rhaenyra. And it wasn't even a proper one, with only the primary heir inheriting het name upon rising to the throne. So in game and in lore, it does not make sense.
We all knew this would happen and honestly is very interesting how this will go but the real question is how does the other lords of the north thing about this that their king is meddilng with the others and oddly enough this is not the first time that the king in the north and the queen of ice appear on the same exact time
Well it’s not explicitly stated she is an Other; plus at this point nobody has seen an Other in 1000 years or more so they might not even believe in them.
@@StrayKing true but just like how vary and littlefinger can keep secret really well same thing can be said the other way around and beside is not hard to image that some lord such as artos half brother the last male bolton that they are curious why the king is so kind to these wildlings why did he give a boy of a unknown father and a thenn mother and also someone who oddly look like artos some land and now him making a women white hair blue eyes his queen some make thing nothing of it but others such as the bolton may look in to end and also to forget what the lord manderly thing he is the spymaster and is possible he found out about this or artos witch secret which make more lords curious why like i said the really question is what will the other lords of the north do yes a stark has return yes the north is independent thanks to artos but what will they do the the king is with the others
@@StrayKing true but is not hard to image some lord such as the last bolton being curious why artos is kind to the wildlings why he give land to a boy whose mother is a thenn and who look oddly similir like artos you just need a character like varys or littlefinger to reveal everything and don't forget your spymaster so what if he found what will he do like i said what will the lords of the north do if their king who is a stark the man who bring them independent and now someone who is with the others a witch what will they do
Id love to see you do an essos-based dragonrider playthrough sometime. Especially with the newly updated dragon models weve gotten! Perhaps one of Saera's bastard sons during the Jaehaerys bookmark?
I wonder if Artos in his arrogance will neglect the importance of the wall and start to conquer lands north of it. He lived there for a time and doesn’t fear an invasion from the others with his wight wife if that’s what she is. Or will he give the nights watch kingdom title back. Could also be interesting if you reform the religion to then play as a child that goes south as an adventurer and spreads the religion
i like that artos how the story goes but i think before you attack the trident you should get the freys inside your kingdom, maybe forge a claim on the highlordship of twins and get them under north, other wise if it happens that the marriyam has a son and the frey dies the son will take-over the twins and eventually when he gets the trident he will automatically be under blackfyre. plus blackfyres are just too strong, most kingdoms have like 25k to 30k soldiers meanwhile the blackfyres have more than 50k, i don't think the other kings would like that too much, plus there is the whole alliance that has formed via marriages and relationships (if you notice) the rock has cousins ruling the trident, the northern princes have cousins ruling in the trdnent, the north is allied to the vale. its the web of alliances its like a rock-trident-north-vale alliance.
Its a shame that Mallador died, he could have been a good antagonist who could have assisted Karlon in fighting Donnor later on and become a little like bittersteel but he pretty much became a nothing charecther after you landed him. Also Donner shouldnt marry a southerner espesially one of andal faith and if you just waited for Alyssa’s mother to have a son the they would have accepted and Donner is in no hurry to marry. Also you did call lady Mallister ”a random pregnant woman” during Madgers coronation in episode 9 so i dont think she would be the biggest fan of Artos. Pressing a claim of a child against a grown man wouldnt win over any of the riverlander lords so maybe just wait until your kids grow up before going to war again, the north has been at constant war ever since Artos became king and going on a offenssive war in the south probably wouldnt go over well with the northerners. Let the people breathe.
Karlon is going to be hated by everyone in the north if he dosent convert and he would struggle to gain any allies in the future cause he is a awful person so people will hate him for that and if he is also a different faith and culture then he wont have a chance to ever to become a good villian cause even if he gets allies they might not even accept any calls to arms cause the hate him so much. No need to convert his culture cause cultural acceeptance can change but that different religion is going to destroy his ambitions before he can even act on them.
Your childrens claimss acant be pressed becasue they come from the female Tully line I believe, and with the male preference or male only succession laws in place those claims cant be pressed against a male ruler even if he is in a regency. Or it could just be Paradox spaghetti code. Either way your kids claim should be legitimate, and the only legitimacy that matter anyway is who has the bigger army.
You should make a cadet branch of your daughter and her children, when you put her on the throne of Riverrun.

Alybeth's learning is insane. would be such a waste not to give her some Stark wards to tutor in her freeky ways
Prince Donner, maybe thats why he might want to reform the religion of the Old Gods!!

The Fallen Eagle is another incredible mod that has series potential.

it's criminal that you don't have 20k subs
Happy new year everyone!!!!!!🎉

Hey, there is disease spreading towards your home region. Better take precautions.
An ill omen for the realm as the King returns home with a mysterious new bride.....

Did the Lannister's of the Riverlands inherit Orphan Maker after Medgar died?
Great episode, best wishes for 2025!
"i want to wait a while before marrying her in case of cool events"-marries the wight four months after.
:)
please keep artos as a hero
To be fair he is a Stark… they weren’t much for being heroic… look at Cregan Stark
They keep their oaths, but no, they aren't normally heroic Starks
