Jeyes fluid. £7 a litre in Wilkinsons. Burns everything it touches if you don't water it down too much. I fill an old spray can and use it to keep my neighbour's bamboo from spreading into my garden.
This thing can come though brickwork and cement with ease. If you trouble it and it spreads to neighbouring properties, you will be responsible for not only the treatment for your neighbours garden , but also the damage it may cause to the structure of their home. Do not touch it before you read up about this thing if you see it in your garden.
i use salt as a weed killer, i buy bags designed for winter ice prevention on paths. pour it over the weeds during a dry period, i haven't seen any weeds survive it. worth a try?
@@forgetmeplease1414 Glyphosate is a different kind of salt. The chemical term for a salt is a compound with balanced cations and anions which promote solubility in water.. Phosphonates =/= Chloride molecules.
Japanese hops has killed a field of knotweed in my area much to my surprise! I learned that it will evrr error kill trees. Bees love to pollinate it and the honey is dark like buckwheat honey.
Round up is very weak glysulphate that is for annual weeds you need a brush wood killer like sbk. you also need a license to use professional grade herbicide
Highway salt, or calcium chloride used liberally after diggining it up will kill the stubborn little root shoots. Or dump a mound over the exposed plant and you'll have the same effect.
Abinayan Ratnasingam knotweed. Worst strongest weed around and can pull a house apart. It grows through concrete. It spreads on shoes, it lives on any soil and the only way to kill it is covering it up for at least three years to block the sun light. Weed killer only tickles it. It can't be killed with weed killer.
ha ha blocking the sun light won't do nothing. has the roots grow horizontal underground, you need to hire a j c b and dig down 3,5 meters to get rid that will cost between 10 thousands and hundreds of thousands ha ha.
I'd like to get rid of my knotweed but I'm not a fan of Roundup glyphosate killer in my garden. There must be an alternative. So far, I've been digging out the roots carefully. I dumped the remains with the waste dump instead of the recycling were it could sprout again in compost.
"Last month, an international agency declared glyphosate, the primary ingredient in the popular product Roundup, a “probable human carcinogen.” The weed killer also has made recent headlines for its widespread use on genetically modified seeds and research that links it to antibiotics resistance and hormone disruption. Several national governments are planning to restrict its use, and some school districts are talking about banning it."
Rob Olykan try powerful steaming. That kills weeds, sprouts and seeds. You need a more powerful steamer than just a kettle of boiling water. I researched on weed steaming last night. Knotweeds need be steamed above and below ground. 12 -24 hours of steaming, knotweeds die. Repeat steaming if necessary.
I have a meeting this year about using Japanese Knotweed to help families earn from home. This will stop pesticide use which harms our health and environment: butterflylullaby.blogspot.co.uk/2018/02/resveratrol-ban-japanese-knotweed-anti.html

Spraying the leaves and stems will surely provide you with enough work for the future... To really kill this plant you need to cut every single stem and pour something in it, but definitely not Roundup, since this stuff is extremely harmful to the environment and people. Compounds which are to be considered are formic or phosphoric acid.
Lemme save you 3 minutes. Knotweed is knot a problem. All you gotta do is get some garden variety scissors, cut it into manageable portions and roll it into an expansion joint. I won't lie, the only unmanageable thing about knotweed is how high it gets you when you smoke it down. It's the highest I've ever been, my mind snapped like a carrot. You know it's pure when you see those orange flecks. Just seconds after smoking a knotweed blunt I was flying high man, I started licking walls and eating dog food. When I came to I'd blown a load in my pants and had to throw out my boxers. Put me in a state of vegetative regeneration for a week. It was well worth the sacrifice

Salt will not degrade in time and it will be flushed to ground water. You are contaminating.
Highway salt works. Calcium chloride (flakes) really works well and is as readily available as rock salt.
Glyphosate is a salt...
@@forgetmeplease1414 you wouldn't put it on your food though.
