Doctor: Okay, the lab called and they have several bones ready. Let's go over and select which one to implant into you.
Patient: So you're saying I have a bone to pick with you?
Finally, I’m gonna be 6’4” someday. I knew it!
It already exist, as in, you can already make yourself taller with current modern medical procedure called *Leg-lengthening* it's a form of surgery where they break your leg bones into two, insert metal pins and rods then let it heal to extend your height.
Could you be more proud of what you really are ?
l mean getting bigger is not something that you want
You want to be part of the paradigma
To be sen as someone big
Not to be big
Sorry for the english
It’s hard to believe but we’re actually entering a new bio mechanical era

Here we come!.......5TH ELEMENT Too....Mila....
Technology has advanced so much from when I was a kid, a lot of the things I watched in sci-fi films they said would be impossible are now possible or nearing becoming possible. I feel like I'm living in a sci-fi film sometimes I love it.
@@livingcorpse5664 Those sci-fi movies were all set in the far futuristic years of 1999, 2000, 2001, 2010, 2017 and 2019.
This gave me the idea of being taller. You can 3d print any bone you want bigger. I love you scientists! Giving hope over our insecurities!
Well on our way to creating that regeneration machine from The Fifth Element.
"it takes several days or even weeks that's a long time to wait for a bone"......I've waited longer
This seems like something intresting for application to inner ear issues
This could have implications for everything from replacement joints to living armor (not using human tissue of course) and buildings that can literally grow stronger with time or repair themselves over time after damage, similar to a tree.
@Ankit Meher not if you get involved and help expedite these technologies!
Self repairing building reduces the need for the construction industry and can destroy the construction industry.
@@silenus3381 Ah yes. Let's throw our hands in the air and scream in panic like the world is coming to an end because someone falsely suggested that an industry would fail due to a change. Let's all make the incorrect assumption that people won't constantly need new buildings and infrastructure beyond a particular point that we wouldn't even reach for well over a century and cower in fear accordingly.
Lead researcher: Come on put your backs into it!
I'm pretty sure that would be 35% infill to leave air gaps for more flexibility
One step closer to the healing machines of _Elysium_
I worked 14 years in pressed insulation ceramic parts. The material is strong but brittle under forces. The trick is to make it yield under mechanical leverage. Polymers are necessary. Perhaps rubber impregnation. If, of course, you can offer polymers with flexible properties. Those that are self-replicating. This is a thinking and moving organism, not a machine.
I need them to 3D print nerves back together in the spinal cord so quadriplegics such as myself can walk again
@@justanerd414 honestly I'm waiting on Elon Musk's neurolink he after time it will make quadriplegics walk, on Joe Rogan podcast
Having broke several of my bones, 3D printed bones with rapid recovery is appealing.
Imagine replacing your bones with super light and hard bioceramics. Pretty cool stuff.
Nope! Why you think tony stark never made his suit of adamantium 😂
Congratulations on your comedic restraint whilst operating within such entendre-dense environment. Thought you were going to crack when you were discussing delays in the fabrication of osseous matter.
now they need to figure out how to 3d print bone with titanium reinforcement. I would LOVE to have a spine with some titanium embedded in it so my damn back hurts less.
nah if they can replace the same cartilage and bone that'd be best-since it moves with your body. Titanium is rigid and can wear out over time. I've had major back pain also so I can relate. In my case if I exercise and lose some weight I'll be fine. I used to be very fit but I let myself go and time flies so fast, you don't notice that you're putting your health at risk, live and learn.
Now I can finally get on stage and truly break a leg!
would be great for future spacetravel, print the whole body upload mind, rollout
That's the next level folks. Time to embrace all this innovation and think science.
A relative of mine has worked in a group developing a system to create a model of a patient's heart to train clinical operations on. The patient's heart is scanned with ultrasound and then 3d printed for surgeons to test with and tested on functionality afterwards to know what surgeons are gonna do in the real surgery. I should be able to create a contact to the development team.

Could this be used in osteoporosis cases to reinforce the bones?
I can almost believe her enthusiasm
Fantastic, any chance of 3d printing a new heart, now that would be brilliant.
I can’t imagine the price per centimeter cube...
Likely very high at this time, but remember that things like cultured meat patties were exorbitantly expensive just a few years back and are now nearly average in price. As time goes on, the prices will drop!
100%. I meet someone who was working on 3D printing bones. Cool stuff.
What a cool area of science and engineering
Please explain what fascia is.
After people who need the bone grafts are mostly address (it'll never end), but would cosmetic surgery be done? Like graft horns or an extra finger digit?
No one :
Me :
My bones :
Scientists : can i print bones in your body please *creepy smile*
Can you take a look at the negative Kardashev scale. It seems more realastic.
When will they commercialise this?
Bones aren't just structural...they also produce red blood cells. How would 3D printed bones handle that function and what would be the results from that?
Agreed, there's always a con to these new inventions now a days that they hide or want to experiment with. I wouldn't be so savvy on how this is the next thing including that it has ceramic which isn't found in the human body... I mean who knows, this might create a new virus or a disease, just throwing my thoughts out there though.
Nice video.
This has some serious future potential.
3d printing with bones? Where's my dog at!
1:31 That's a long time to wait when you need a bone
Me: That's what she said 🦴 😂
Neuralink - yes please
3d printed bones - sign me up
What else can I get?
Science Rocks
that's awesome they need to do the same with organs/limbs, eyes, etc.
honestly one of the things that limit human strength (in my opinion) is our bones, because we have the strength to punch something hard enough to brake them (especially if we dont even mean to hit the object that hard)
this is so awesome!
I've a permanently broken shoulder, can't get a bone graft due to osteoporosis. I'm happy to be a guinea pig for this!
Those books in the background got me anxious
after my motorbike crash, (I superman punched the ground 50kph)
I ended up pushing the small bones around in my wrist pretty much making my pinky and ring finger about 50%
id give it a shot!!
What about deformities of the hand and stuff like that?
*still Non of the bone transplant patient can utilize their part after transplant. What's the point?*
"I have a bone to print with you!"
As someone with 30 screws in my back I can't wait to be able to have full motion again.
Did you pick that shirt on purpose for this video? 🤔 Because obviously it's perfect.
I would love this. Maybe they could print me new femoral heads, and the inside of my acetabulum. Currently, they are metal, with a plastic liner. After 19 years, having my own hips back would be amazing.
I'm thinking of one 'bone' in particular, where do I sign?
nice work
Thats a long time if you need a bone 🦴 😂
reminds me of that star trek episode ... minus the nerve tissue ...
I got three bones replaced in my neck. I'm back to my True height, how cool is that🙏🙏😎
This metal hand top is amazing! 🤘☠️
Perfect shirt for this video.
AMAZING!
Is it possible to print a human body And give conciseness to it?
Can I be a subject to test this theory

What about you, Morty? Would you like to ride the BONE TRAIN??
Perhaps in the future , scientist will figure out how to print a bullet proof skin using living cells.
Crazy stuff
Can it 3d printed a cyberware ?
"A long time to wait if you need to bone" 🤪
Now 3d print a new pancreas for me!
Makes you wonder how far we are from Westworld's bio androids :D
3:10 next Sunday AD?
All my bones were 3d printed, in the 70's! Well they sure ain't 2D! And weren't shoved in whole!
Semoga Indonesia memahami ilmu teknologi potensi akan 3d printer segala aspek
Everything‘s possible if you have a model to build it
3d print deez nuttz.
So that means I can get myself new teeth, the real one's... Haahaa
I wish they can do the same with nerves

I need a new L 4 please!
Everybody gangsta until they say:
We r gonna make blood with 3d printer and test it on human :)
Let's hope scientists level the print bed first
First: Print organ
Then: Print bone
Last: Print human
First 3d printed hearts and now bones? Does that mean our bodies will be upgradable in the future?
Nah that is stupid, just upload my mind into a robot body
We're growing ever closer to the Spartan-II program. Let's just hope the technology is well tested before we use children as human guinea pigs.
Can it print me 9 inches?
Yes please 3d printed tooth for me, and 3d printed brain cells for my blonde gf
Just noticed the shirt hahaha
🤘
This title is terrifying
Print me a tail so I can be a furry.
My dog will be happy after knowing he will get 3d printed bone to play with.
You better not print those bones in his body :p
He deserves raw, authentic bones
but ur dog no understand the engrish?
@@badhrihari1705
I mean if this technology came far enough you could print bones from your own body/DNA and feed it to your dog... Couldn't be more authentic that that xD
Also your mom.
