You look so tired. We wouldn't mind if you took a break once in a while. The first child is always the hardest and in your case you had two at the same time. Keep up the good work! The twins are lucky to have you as a father!
From a content standpoint, it would be awesome to finish the city and everything this year, get all your backlog reviewed and stuff. Then, when you are pretty much done you could move to the warehouse and kinda start fresh with the city and try a new and bigger layout
As a mom of boy girl twins I totally get the separate room situation. Ours thought bed time was party time. So we cleaned the spare rooms too. You guys are doing great keep it up!
Something you could do with the Porky Pig minifigure is have him on the opposite side of the amusement park entrance so as guests leave he could be there with the “that’s all folks” sign
Jordan, you have your priorities straight FAMILY, both yours, Josee’s and the children’s health then and ONLY then business. Take it one day at a time. Plan your work then work the plan after taking care on 1,2 above. Take a break when necessary we will have your back and will be here to enjoy the amazing content when it’s available!
Just a thought. But why don't you see if one of the aftermarket stores ie. Bricks and Minifigs or the Brick Bin would go in with you on the warehouse. Would help with cost and peace of mind. Plus maybe bring a new store to the area.
Those 4-way intersections could be useful: They all have a 6x6 studded plate in each corner. Those could be cut out and glued to the fronts of your overflow drawers to display samples of what they contain. Also, the remaining smooth portions could be cut up to make drawer dividers for better organization.
Yup, it seems like taking an X-acto to those 4 way intersection plates is the best creative reuse. Those 6x6 corner studs got me thinking about possible MILS plate use but there's not really enough studs to extend across the whole plate.
@@Nphen You could be onto something there. Run a few 2x10s along the sides. Then mount some 2x2 blocks under a 16x16 plate, put "kragle" under the 2x2s and mount it in place. Once the kragle is set, the 16x16 plate can be recycled and replaced with whatever smaller plates you want to use and you have a new MILS base-plate at a fraction of the cost of buying a new 32x32 base-plate.
Not sure if you guys do this in Canada or not. But in the states. We actually have a lot of “Shouses”. Which is a combo of a house in a shop added together. Basically a huge metal building, in most cases a 60‘ x 80‘ building. We’re one corner of it is sectioned out for living quarters. Then the remainder is a huge open space. in my area, Nebraska, farmers use it for their machinery. Are we good place for you to have a decent amount of room to do whatever you want for your channel. Then also have plenty of room for your growing family.
Good luck with the bedroom, we are at the opposite time of life with kids, the youngest has left home and we have turned his room into a room of requirement or maybe a sorting room, full of the the eldest ones sneakers and all our family's Lego whilst we work towards getting it all sorted and some displayed.
Yo bricksie! If you are still planning to put little stud sections on your part drawers you could cut up your 4 way road plates to extract the corner stud sections to fix to the front of your drawers…. Should help you use some of them and doesn’t cost you for more plates… peace!
I’m getting the feeling that the recent Lego boom is a bubble that’s about to burst. It seems like the hype is slowing and things aren’t selling as well anymore. I’m afraid to invest too much these days.
With new kids, try and wait until summer happens to move into a warehouse. This late in the year you'll be worrying about the holiday season coming and schedules will become tight. That and it'll give you more time to plan a budget better instead of jumping right into a new space
I think your new plan is spot on, really like the ideas you have, definitely a summer move. But family room first is the best plan. 😉 all the very best to you all. 👍
So I know you want the warehouse to clear the basement for the kids. Totally do that. But you should still keep a substantial collection down there. FOR your kids. They’ll cherish that kind of wonder and inspiration when they grow up.
I am using my Treehouse for "The Lonely Hut" build (also uses the Old Fishing Shop", but man, it's pretty!) 😊. I'm tempted to do a second hut set with another treehouse set 🤫
You so have the "exhausted daddy" vibe.... Hang in there. It gest soooo much better. My kid became a Lego genius by 4 and we are having so much fun!!! In two years, the whole house will be "spare Lego" :)
When I got my 1800 piece classic fantasy set the kitten climbed into the box. He actually fits he loves boxes. He currently plays in a Amazon box I got at the beginning of the month.
I'm a dad like you and I take on alot too. Don't push too hard for huge new projects if you're already ground down or financially maxed out. You'll know your own limit.
I know you said it jokingly but I really like your idea of selling your sets to finance your move to the warehouse. It's time to focus entirely on your incredible Lego City. 🥳🥰🤩
recently i bought probably close to 120 pieces of straight tracks on bricklink. i spent ~$100 cad and that’s including shipping. to buy that straight from lego i’d need to buy 15 boxes of tracks that have curves and flex track in them as well at $20 a pop, and that’s before shipping and taxes. that’s over $300 just to not use two thirds of what i bought. couldn’t justify it.
Hey Jordan, I think you need to relax and distress as you are looking tired. We are all here to support you in whichever direction you go with or without a warehouse. Keep Brickin.
having kids is a bit like basketball. at first you guard 2 on one. the two parents are exhausted. then another kid joins the family and each parent is "in charge" of one kid and you are again, exhausted. once the third one comes along, there is no alternative but to move to zone defence... i have 4 and we managed ok. word of warning. small kids small trouble, big kids are by far more challenging. i love them and it does get better over time.
A couple episodes back you talked about selling all your display models and just focussing on the city I think in the case of how much space you have, working with the space you have now would be more beneficial and just focus on the city
Jordan, you're an awesome dad, and I support awesome dads, being a dad myself. I messaged you on Whatnot, but I'll say it here too, but I would take those 4-way road plates off your hands. My kids can use them and I can use them to display my Speed Champions sets. And use them for taking photos. I'll also message you on Instagram as well.
So are you Jordan. You and josay are awesome parents as well. Y'all also keep killing it. Thank you for what you do with Lego and still continue to give us videos and updates
the first year is always harder because of the sleep issue. it doesnt get easy as they grow up but at least you get more sleep. I raised two kids only 11 months apart so i understand how hard it is, and i had no family to help it was just me while husband worked all day. get a week off from filming and just rest.
hey bricksie, I have a small collection a lot of sets lost to the bin. If I were to sort everything out should I do it truly to color or by piece no matter what color it is? Thanks
I have two kids and limited space. At the beginning, when they were young, it was really hard. One would always wake up the other, then when that one fell asleep, the other would wake him up. They're 3 and 6 years old now and I'm happy I stuck with it. They still share a room and now even sleep in the same bed (and they'll occasionally get on each other's nerves) and, for the most part, they've grown to love each other in a very endearing way. They'll need a separate room eventually, but that's at puberty and I'm hoping these early years will start then off close.
Honestly, you're doing it perfectly. I'm 19 and shared a room with my brother right after we moved when I was 8. Best decision my parents made. They gave us our own rooms when we got older. Stick with it because one of the main reasons my brother and I talk is because of that.
I would really like those Crossroad base plates but I have no money. I am in the US and I know you're in Canada so the shipping would be a little expensive.
Take a break man. Being a dad of two, and when they both decide not to sleep, its a lot. Got to sleep when you can, if you can. Rest up and head back to the channel when you're ready.
What’s the value like on lego sets that don’t have a box/instructions but you still have all the pieces for? I imagine much less than new in box, but how much less?
The investment backlog looks great. Mine is about the same. I have sets from 2012 to 2022 in it that are retired, including probably both of my birthday gifts of the last 2 years, the 1989 batman sets.
It’s funny. You moved your horde out so your kid could switch rooms and we are moving our horde into our kids room after she moves into an apartment. Can’t wait to have a have a good full Lego room with good shelving. Courtesy of IKEA.
Just curious, do you store shipping boxes anywhere? I have a collection of Amazon boxes for re-use. Or do you just wait until a set is sold and go out and buy a new shipping box?
You are both doing a great job, your twins are beautiful and so is your lego room, we appreciate all your hard work with the channel, if u take time off we won't mind
Are you by any chance putting the diner set up as a buy now option? I got into lego a bit late to the party and would love to add the set to my modular collection
Please bricksie we can wait for your videos, your health and safety is our primary concern. Please take a few days or even a week to relax and spend time with your family. We love your videos but we don’t want it become too draining or too much for you as we love your content and we don’t you to lose your love due to this chaos
Jordan, I love your videos, I watch them daily. I also appreciate your drive to constantly evolve your Lego City. Your drive for the warehouse is commendable and a logical next step. But remember that the set up you have, working from home, is ideal for especially with your twins. Having a separate warehouse will keep you away from your family. Enjoy the time your have with your children bc they grow up in a blink of an eye. Keep up the great work….. looking forward to your daily videos.
You look so tired. We wouldn't mind if you took a break once in a while. The first child is always the hardest and in your case you had two at the same time. Keep up the good work! The twins are lucky to have you as a father!
Definitely it must be hard having children and having to upload every day
Take a break !!
Bricksie has not missed a day! Definitely deserves a weekend off
I agree. Jordan, you need some down time to relax and regroup
Yea you look like you need a break mate, be welcome to take one!
From a content standpoint, it would be awesome to finish the city and everything this year, get all your backlog reviewed and stuff. Then, when you are pretty much done you could move to the warehouse and kinda start fresh with the city and try a new and bigger layout
I think city is a few months away from being "done" 😁
I’d be sad to have the city done. It’s the revitalization that’s makes watching so interesting! And there’s always a new modular coming…
@@Bricksie is a city ever really done?
As a mom of boy girl twins I totally get the separate room situation. Ours thought bed time was party time. So we cleaned the spare rooms too. You guys are doing great keep it up!
As a twin I feel bad for my parents...
Something you could do with the Porky Pig minifigure is have him on the opposite side of the amusement park entrance so as guests leave he could be there with the “that’s all folks” sign

that single hoard room is a builder's dream
Just a thought. But why don't you see if one of the aftermarket stores ie. Bricks and Minifigs or the Brick Bin would go in with you on the warehouse. Would help with cost and peace of mind. Plus maybe bring a new store to the area.

I like that idea! Nice recycling!
Bricksie vert Nice guys
Awesome idea!

Dude. That’s quite the haul. Plus the value of your actual builds? I hope you’re very well insured.

i suggest let the twin both of them sleep in the same bed, it would be easier i think, because their "connection" is some what extraordinary
Yo bricksie! If you are still planning to put little stud sections on your part drawers you could cut up your 4 way road plates to extract the corner stud sections to fix to the front of your drawers…. Should help you use some of them and doesn’t cost you for more plates… peace!
I think it must be a lot easier if you work from home tho.
You should put the lego sign inbetween the shelves by the observatory up high
One tip, get the warehouse close to home. I have my Lego in a storage unit like ten minutes drive from home and that is like far away...
I have the Treehouse set unbuilt. Thinking about spending my weekend building it.
I’m getting the feeling that the recent Lego boom is a bubble that’s about to burst. It seems like the hype is slowing and things aren’t selling as well anymore. I’m afraid to invest too much these days.
Dear Bricksie,
You are an incredible Lego UA-camr and I have been watching you for a while now. Thank you for creating such an amazing content!

Wow whay an awesome hoard of sets
The white wall is great

I think you could use the intersections to make mils plates if you adjust the way you do the underlying bricks.
Get a Hoverboard to zoom around under the tables! At least it would add an element of fun! 😂

The beard is awesome
You could put your logo on it and number them and sell them. I bet some of your fans would love to have a piece of your lego history!
Brickse better all the things you handle in your life even with the twins you are doing great.Just don't give up on the things you love.😊
Hey Jordan, I think you need to relax and distress as you are looking tired. We are all here to support you in whichever direction you go with or without a warehouse. Keep Brickin.
the vintage truck is a set i been wanting
Looking forward to more updates on the warehouse!
Awesome lego sets doing brilliant Jordan
very nice clip (-:
i feel you (got 4 sons :P)
Those four way intersections can be used for MILS if you're building on a budget.
You should put some type of carpet or a rug so when you crawl it doesn’t hurt
having kids is a bit like basketball. at first you guard 2 on one. the two parents are exhausted. then another kid joins the family and each parent is "in charge" of one kid and you are again, exhausted. once the third one comes along, there is no alternative but to move to zone defence... i have 4 and we managed ok. word of warning. small kids small trouble, big kids are by far more challenging. i love them and it does get better over time.

That would be a shame because the display models in my opinion are more intresting then the city.
But I do get it that viewers seem to love watching updates on a lego city so with a you tube channel you have no choice but to have a city

Should have started out .." All right, I'll admit it. I am REALLY high right now"
Lol it was 7am. I start working as soon as possible.
Put the burrow next to the farm
Oh and add the Burrow to the residential street, Wizards live among us.
So are you Jordan. You and josay are awesome parents as well. Y'all also keep killing it. Thank you for what you do with Lego and still continue to give us videos and updates

Yes 🙌🏻 excellent video my dude!
You asked for it LOL
awesome video jordan the lego room is looking amazing
Of course the Darth Vader LEGO Art fell--he didn't have the high ground!
hey bricksie, I have a small collection a lot of sets lost to the bin. If I were to sort everything out should I do it truly to color or by piece no matter what color it is? Thanks
You are the best!
you're doing great!! room looks really good!
It does get easyer. don't worry before you know it they be really stress you out when they get older enough to drive a car etc ...
I was think about your lego investments the other day
I think a wearhouce would be a great idear hope it works out for you.
The wall could be turned into a big mosaic like the art sets

I Miss your winter village :(
Hi, I watch your videos and I am a big fan you inspired me to make a Lego city and re start my Lego collection!😂
Oh My GoODNEsS A TalKiNg CaT 7:37
Have you got the star wars lego set 75152, imperial assault hovertank?
Respect to you! My 1 year old son scares us from having another kid, so much energy! But we want him to have a sibling at some point.
Omg , go get some sleep you poor dad. You are exhausted . We will wait right here for you . Xxx
Man, So much respect for you. Take a break, you look tired.
If you do the warehouse maybe open a bricks and Minifigures store
Time for vacation, my friend
Lol I wish! Can't travel with young kidos, that would be a nightmare. However, I am going to Brickworld in less than a month!
A 501st BP, Vader Chamber, ISS, and Droid tank is what I would like to purchase.
If you are serious, feel free to message me on Bricklink - store.bricklink.com/bricksie.j#/shop
I would really like those Crossroad base plates but I have no money. I am in the US and I know you're in Canada so the shipping would be a little expensive.
Keep some of the speed champion sports cars and dedicate them to Mansion. So mansion has cars but all yours are still on display.
The crossroads will be fine I’ll take ‘em I want to make a go kart track flip em upside down and make a track on top of it
Hey, have you thought about adding simple lighting underneath the tables?
You jave some lego sets I would love to have! I just started collecting with my son.
If you got your loan you could find a place you like while it is cold. Then you could not move the lego until summer.
The warehouse would be perfect. With open houses maybe charge admissions plus sales that would help with that mortgage.
Precisely
I love theses videos ❤❤

Oh I did, they're gone lol

the junctions are fine for under my road plates. saves me buying expensive base plates😂.
Just curious, do you store shipping boxes anywhere? I have a collection of Amazon boxes for re-use. Or do you just wait until a set is sold and go out and buy a new shipping box?
Yes, I have a ton in my garage
You are both doing a great job, your twins are beautiful and so is your lego room, we appreciate all your hard work with the channel, if u take time off we won't mind
The city is looking good. You should take 1 say off a week.
I think your stash under the table will look sick. Plus now you get to see all those beautiful boxes and what not. I'm a fan.
Being a parent IS the hardest thing in the world. Wait till they start their teens 😫

Is the AT TE a good set to buy????
Sign the roadplates and send em out
Oooooo......Saturn V......
Quite a few sets in there I'd love, but money is too tight at the moment 😞
