I've ridden up that on my peddle bike, after riding 97 previous miles over ever other Lake District mountain pass. The event is called The Fred Whitton Challenge, and was one of the hardest physical challenges in my life

Ah Steve beautiful👍I had the feeling be with you an Melissa looking over your shoulder and being there👍love that small roads and the mountains remains me off some areas in Norway.
Very well done and the best is the part at the end. The music and the drone perspective = superb.
    Take care my friend👍

Thanks so much Uwe for riding along with us! I've just finished editing the full weekend tour and it should be on the channel very soon. It's amazing what footage you can capture with a tiny little drone! Stay safe and see you on the next one!

    Why is my neck hurting?
Made that journey about 15 year's ago. My wife was driving me in her Puma. It was raining heavily and torrents of water and boulders were crossing the road. Half way up she stopped, looked at me and asked me to drive. She was shaking. We continued on , what I consider to be, the most exhilarating drive of my life. Truly stunning scenery and breathtaking views!

I've been over there (and Wrynose) in almost every car I've owned since my first trip 43 years ago in a Reliance Regal 3 wheeler van which kept jumping out of 1st gear!!!)! I've only done it on a handful of my bikes though (including an XS750 Yam) although slightly lesser lakeland passes on my FS1E were more challenging! Watching your video has made me think I should perhaps have a trip over on my GTR1400 this year when the weather gets better.

Great ride, and I'm also an FJR1300 owner too! Turning the big Yammy around on some of those narrow paths would have been, erm, "interesting" :)

Always a pleasure to meet a fellow FJR rider, yes she can get a bit tricky when fully loaded for sure, but nowhere near as bad as my old K16GT. Take care and thanks for watching!

Last time I did it was few years ago now when a go pro was a rare commodity. there was about 15 bikes I was on a Honda Blackbird some of us had pillions, it was a grey and wet day normal for the lakes. We did Wrynose and Hardknott together everyone safely made it apart from one rider who almost went off roading down a very steep hill. By the time we finished both passes she said never again shaking.
Good video enjoyed seeing the pass again

I feel for the person that was cycling up there, that's either someone who really doesn't like themselves or they had no idea what lies ahead :-). I've only ever driven down Hardknott once, and that was enough for me.
