Married to my accepting wife for 51 years and cared for her with MS for 26 years before she passed. She wasn't able to ambulate the last 15 years. As she approached the end of her life, I thanked her accepting me as her gay husband and she said "Of course, that was easy. Why wouldn't I?" I was a Baptist Pastor and was told I am not welcome to even attend church because I am gay, but I have not been intimate with anyone for at least 25 years. I am now free to be who I am but checking out guys is limited to "checking out the scenery", especially in speedos at the beach. Too old now. I have two accepting adult kids and 4 grandsons.

I fully agree with what he's saying here. I'm a 61-year-old gay man who has never been married, but I've seen dozen's of men and women in the exact predicament Jallen speaks of here. The situation is painful and many of them simply stay in the marriage to keep up appearances. Unfortunately, many of them also go outside their marriages to satisfy their same sex desire. It's a very complicated situation, but it happens.

I fully agree with your standpoint. I am a gay man born in the early 60s and had similar feelings but I NEVER married. A day longer being someone else rather than being ourselves is a day too long, but it's a much more nuanced that your view. You are focusing on the gay person, but what about the wife of 30-40 years? Her life is going to be overturned through no cause of her own, who suddenly at 50 or 60 needs to start over, way beyond their prime. Sure, encourage gay men to start being authentic, but also see to the psychological issues the spurned wife faces.

I understand this perspective but it doesn’t fall within the scope of this video nor the work he does. Let gay men start over and fix their lives. The wives will need to do therapy, just like gay men.

@@ChomboMambo I agree. We need to start our lives; everyone does. The danger in saying, "Go ahead! Start your life!", makes it sound too easy, too one-sided. We never asked to be gay, I get it. But these women were duped by us and lived a lie as much as we did, except that their lie was our fault. "Get therapy, just like I have to!", is an aweful thing to say. So, all I'm saying is that a little consideration in their direction is needed.

If one loves his wife very much while he is interested in men, then just let that continue. What’s wrong with that? Don’t think breaking up a loving husband & wife relationship just to pursue a gay life will necessarily make one happier. In fact it will break everyone’s heart. If he can continue to manage, then don’t change it. There are many ways to manage this especially as everyone’s situation is different.

Came out of a conservative religious environment. It was very very hard because if you allow yourself to question one thing, then you have to question all, and that is just a bridge too far for most. It means giving up everything you ever knew, with the end result of losing your relationship with god - that’s what we’re told. You cannot overestimate the animosity most religions have towards homosexuals…and if you’re raised in that, it means losing everything

Born in 1947, raised in an Evangelical environment, I held out and pretended until I was 25. A gay friend had told me that if I ever wanted to check out the experience, I just had to let him know. I did. HALLELUJAH! Out and proud since then.
Even in my younger years, though I did have brief relationships with 3 women, and had 'pleasant' sexual experiences with them, I knew that I just. couldn't. do the hetero lifestyle thing. I couldn't see "inflicting" myself on a woman, and later, a family. Either I would be miserable, and suppress my authentic self, or she would be miserable, knowing her expectations wouldn't materialize. I knew I would have to act on my true attractions sooner or later.

Wouldn't that be considered murder regardless of how, why or who committed the act? I mean how would the outcome be different if this was a gay or straight or bi relationship? How would it be different if two very hetero partners had jealousy issues and this happened? What if the woman did it. It happens all the time!

@@lgbtqarchives Your response is reasonable and understandable. However, there appears to have been corrupt collusion by a stunning number of people, (including shockingly misogynist judges, lawyers, stables of counselors employed by government entities, and "storefront" nonprofits and agencies) to HELP a self-professed chronic, sadistic liar and abuser. I have cause to believe he is a psychopath. And the judges and lawyers, etc as well.
The issue of his sexual orientation seems to have been corruptly used. Like a game by ppl who understand it is socially and politically popular to grant all kinds of special things for people's sexual "whatever". Not even sure WHAT he is. Jealousy wasn't the issue. His cycles of Weird sadistic abuse were. And his letting me know in creepy ways he wanted me dead. (Then he would cry, for himself actually, and profess all this crap. A real actor. And he told me he believed he had no conscience. Knows right from wrong, but doesn't care) It is UNBELIEVABLE what has gone on. I found more and more evidence this is done to vulnerable women in my state, whenever possible.
Found evidence my state has been known for years for it's laws discriminating against women. And that corrupt things are done to conceal this evidence. Appearance that murdering females is okay, too. Evidence supports it. Medical examiners, police, courts, lawyers, law firms, court reporters, clerks, and others aid and abet depraved crimes against females, when they can get away with it.
It FEELS like some misogynist mafia, tinged with lavender. Gay stuff and supposed sexual confusion is being USED, in "legal atrocities".
