OMG, this has never worked for me because I missed one stupid extra mouse click. After 20 years, I still HATE how Maya is just nakedly a collection of scripts you have to learn to navigate individually because they put it in the program the second it "worked" and not when it was intuitive. I hope Blender obliterates this rickety house of cards we're all forced to use.

When I press the resend files button, the menu does not open.

No too sure what you mean by resend files button. If a menu is not opening it may be that you are not hitting the box on the side. Hope this helps.

Oh you mean the browse button, honestly I don't really have a solid answer on how to fix that. It could be maya scaling bugging out or the resolution of your screen could be making it not work. Worst comes to worst save your preferences and reinstall maya.
