It's ok to use heatsink but what's wrong here is that he uses the double sided tape and that is not recomemded. It will add more HEAT on the RAM. The recommended is to use Thermal Pad on sticking them together. You can separately buy that on Shoppee too. Also remove the paper labels of the RAM before sticking the Thermal Pad.
bro shut up with your nonsene most of the kits they are using double sided tape or adhesive tape bro it will not cause a lot of heat on you chips thermal pads they minimize the heat on you chips so there is no harm using double sided tape.
This is actually Thermal Conductive Double-sided adhesive and that's what the seller said so they made sure it is pretty good. Though even with double sided tape it's fine because ram doesn't really get that hot unless with extensive oc and high voltages. With or without heat-sink almost all rams are fine with it either way.
@@BenTiredsonyeah exactly bro,, ram only needs 1.5 volts you can also overclock the ram to get the maximum frequency to make its data rate faster for better ram performance, memory modules does not generate a lot of heat not like cpu/gpu die
Good thing to note you should adhere the compound relative to the ram chip's position to your specific ram sticks, rather than picking a one-size-fits-all spot on the heatsink
Your application is good enough for the said ram. For the performance and cooling seekers here, use expensive thermal pads, it's the same double sided tape, but made with better quality to withstand thermal conductivity longer. There are better heat sinks available as well. Like I said his job here is good, but for the best results over-all, best available heat pads are required. I have experimented with motherboard chips, router, cellphones, and Car ECU/PCM units. Expensive thermal paste and pads make a difference, as they last longer and take the heat away with ease. Nice video amigo, everyone should try this on their pc builds without heart spreaders.
Thank you for watching and your input! Very much appreciated! And yeah I totally agree that heating pastes/pads are things we shouldn’t cut corners with and if you can afford better quality ones the better! Thank you so much!
Hey man! I honestly don't see a lot of difference in terms of brand, speed is what matters in terms of ram. But of course, if you have rhe budget to get one from a reputable brand then have at it. In my experience Adata has been okay.
I had Patriot Black Mamba in a system and then Crucial Ballistix Sport in another system, both DDR3 1600mhz with XMP enabled. It was very difficult to tell a difference between the two. The more expensive stuff has better RAM timings (latency) and a lot of it is overclockable. You may notice a few FPS in a game with faster RAM, especially with AMD based systems. If you just browse the internet, "budget" RAM is plenty fine. Micron, Samsung, Hynix, Crucial, Patriot budget RAM works great.
Mama you should’ve took off the information of the chips, so that way your chips are actually touching your heat sake. You know you have a 48 gig a bite memory there and you have a dad lift there and you should’ve pulled them off and put them on the outside of your heat sink that way exposing your chips right to the sink
Bro quick question when i remove my ram from my mother board do i have to uninstall my ram before I remove it? Then put the heatsink then install the ram again?
Hi Bro, You don’t really need to do anything out of the ordinary. Just unseat your ram, attach the heatsink and reseat your ram in the slots and you’re good to go. Ram is pretty much plug and play and you don’t really uninstall or reinstall it similar to your hard drives/solid state drives.
Hi Nath, being sensitive doesn’t necessarily mean na madali siya masira, you just have to be careful and take precautions when handling them. Ram manufacturers are smart and they have made them sturdier, that’s why reseating ram is part of troubleshooting steps kasi kaya niya na matolerate yung ganun klasing pag handle. Just be gentle with it and it will be okay :)

Pag low profile sir ndi ko sya irecommend, unang challenge mo kasi jan ung difficulty ng pagsalpak and paghugot ng ram if ever maikabit mo man sya. Magkakaroon ka kasi jan ng space sa loob and konting tulak lang kahit nakatape eh pwede mamove ung pagkadikit ng ram mo dun sa heatsink.
