I am a perfume-addict and studying perfume history. I was wondering how to pronounce "Houbigant" and came across this wonderful channel. What a classy lady you are, Sasha! Thank you for your work.
It’s also slightly expensive so when they have a sale on I will get at least 3 bottles as a back up😀 I never wanna be without it . Out of all the prive collections the royale it’s more me 😀
Is the Royale you described similar to the Quelques Fleurs Royale Eau de Parfum, sold in the taller, cylindrical bottle at high-end retailers? I recently bought the latter and am curious whether they have different compositions. The one you described sounds incredible.
I checked their website. They're out of the sample box I wanted. When they restock, I will definitely get the sampler, then open my wallet for the fragrances I want. I've never heard of this perfume house, but I kept seeing advertisements on UA-cam for it. Something stuck out to me about the perfume, so I decided to listen to a review on it. It sounds good and can't wait to try it.
Quelques Fleurs and Chantilly were my favourite perfumes. Just hearing these names takes me back to the good times. In the '70s I loved Woodhue by Faberge.
Finally, finally somebody is talking about Houbigant. Now we are talking quality perfumes, not what they are producing these days. Love them all and it is hard for me to tell which one is my favourite but Iris de Champs is truly a masterpiece. Apparently it took 8 years to produce this perfume. Quelques fleurs was the one Princess Diana was wearing on her wedding day, stunning fragrance. Thank you for a great video Sasha.
Quelques Fleur was my signature in the 80s. Modern perfumes are not made like this - unless niche. Time to revisit my bottle! Thanks for the reminder! Love your channel!
Many many congratulations on your well deserved 10k. Thanks for introducing and sharing all the great fragrances with your thoughts Mam👍👍👍🍰🍰✨🎉✨🎉✨⭐️🎉⭐️🎉⭐️🎉🍰🍰
Congratulations on 10 k subscriptions! Well deserved Sasha! On your recommendation, I have just ordered Safari. Lucky to have found it... The way you described this perfume; got me interested in this vintage perfume. Thanks for all the great recommendations in this video.
Hi Frances! Thank you! I am curious to know what you think of Safari... remember, let it breath a few moments and work its magic! Please come back and let me know your thoughts on it.
I was on the Neiman Marcus website discovering new fragrances (new to me) and this brand caught my interest. Jardin Secret and Royale are the two I am considering. I am leaning more towards Jardin Secret because it seems a little more unique as far as florals are concerned. I am so happy I found your review of this brand. Of these two which one in your opinion is a little less ordinary?
Both really are beautiful... you can't go wrong with either one! It sounds like you are leaning towards Jardin Secret, which is a good choice if you want something that is unique! Let me know which one you end up going with.
Definitely interested in this brand as it’s been around a long time and I have never come across a department store that sells this line. I have an old magazine ad from Houbigant that I picked up from a flea market in Cannes and have always wished to own a bottle from the company to match my framed vintage ad ❤
@@sashascents oh, yes, we have Nordstrom in Canada for at least a couple of more months before they close down all their stores here. Will check them out ASAP before the exit.
Quelques fleurs is pronounced like kelk flur, terminal consonants are silent. Champs is pronounced like sha(m) with the ending letter nasalized. Oranger is o ra(n) zhay. En fleurs, not et fleurs. Rare is rahr.

I love the dry down of the houbigant royale … super creamy I love it as a signature scent … 😊

How do we pronounce "Houbigant" with H or without?
