My first fan idol back in the seventies. I m 56 now n he is still my idol. Love his deep voice. Love watching The Hardy Boys. Read all the books n now reading the fan fiction Written by talented writers. I always imagine him as Joe Hardy in the fan fictions.
I still get weak at the mention of his name. I was only 12 at the height of his career but I genuinely loved Shaun, as much as you can love a stranger. I'm 50 now and in my second marriage but I sometimes wonder "What if..." I used to think about the first real boy I ever loved... He was the same age as Shaun and I loved him so deeply although he was more than a decade older than I... I was given that chance a few years ago but I think I had moved on at that Point but I've never moved on from Shaun. It's probably best that I've never been given the opportunity to lavish my love on him. It's probably more than either of us could take...But I'd give him my all ❤💋

Funny came by this by accident. Omg the memories of a misspent youth. Talent and looks. Loved the shows with such a innocent undertone that had my bedroom walls and ceiling much to my mothers shigrin covered in posters of The Hardy Boys, The Partridge Family, along with Kiss, LED Zeppelin, Robert Plant and of course Ozzy. Diversity in music I bet there was even a Hank Willams stuck in there as well lol. Makes me smile and remember a time that seems so long ago and who knows maybe one night the weird dreams that come with age will strike up one of those old innocent crushes of days gone bye lol. Oddly I have most of David and Shawn’s hits on my iPhone lol and have their dvds lol. Guess old habits die hard and thanks for posting this and making my evening🧸. And now that I think of it when my boys got to the age of posters I was the mom who said good grief why would you want that in your room it just makes them look messy etc. stark reality when Gran came over and reminded me that she hated coming into my room especially with the a Kiss and Ozzy posters on the ceiling - said that creeped her out but always gave my sister and I the freedom to express ourselves. So damn she was right and as they went through there teens they did put up posters but not as many maybe not as popular as the 70-80’s. But my oldest put a cross in some type of varnish peeling tape On his door after he became a Buffy fan. He moved out several years ago and took his cross down and we Now have a permanent reminder of his childhood crush too lol. Just not sure when I go to sell people will believe and think something dark is my basement. Lol. Before my mother died she handed me a picture frame with a wedding picture of Shaun and Ann Pennington. She had fixed it for me as a teen. She put pictures over it. She wanted me to have it before she died in 2008
I would be terrified to have been with Phil Spector! He's one creepy dude! But Shaun looks and sounds great for our years! He's taken the correct path since leaving "childhood" fame. So many didn't survive or stay sober. 😔
