I have replayed the entire campaign collection with better A/V quality and gameplay optimization - just an all around better walkthrough - please check this one out instead: ua-cam.com/video/YpMPwproWpk/v-deo.html
Funny thing about this mission. If you buy the drop-pod upgrades you can drop 3-4 Ghosts or Specters at Warfield's location early and have them Nuke the Nydus Worms the moment they pop up.
I really like this mission, my favourite of WoL. It just have a good feeling to it, like you're surrounded by the Zerg, constantly getting attacked and have to survive out there long enough to gather an army, really nice.
It's actually not that hard to get all the drop pods, you just have to build the right units and not squander the units you get and build prior to them arriving. It also helps if you preempt them by clearing out some of the areas around where they'll land. EDIT: Also if you get the Droppod upgrade, you can just drop a marine on each pod and it technically counts as saving them if you want to cheese it.
I played this mission, it was really fun. Like this was one of the best missions. I used the supply depots as gates, then I would use medivacs as pick ups, and of course I have some Vikings escorting it. Tell me if you have any other better units to pickup troops
1. General Warfield doesn't die. zerg will not overrun him. 2. Should have got 2-3 science vessels to heal tanks and preserve the limited forces. Low on mineral and high on gas in resources anyway.
JayborinoPlays "ohhh got her" haha that was great XD and i like how they added Dustins Browders line of "terrible terrible damage" as for it not allowing you to buy stuff when the game came out, No it was still an option from what i recall, i always looked at it to see what i could get, also it is the same platform that was in Omega
Darkrai211 from what the SC wikia says, they BCs also come with interceptors ships, like the ones the Hyperion had in Hots to help them out against small flyers like those as well, but to me, those BCs fell pretty quick, there not that weak
***** well we really dont know how long that artifact takes to assemble, for all we know, they coulda been working on it already and only finished when Warfield delivered it
+Darkrai211 It would have been nice to play with Wraiths some more this mission, seeing as most players don't buy them when playing normally. I reckon there should have been some accompanying the Battlecruiser that drops.
i had to start a new campaign as i cant win this mission for nothing thinking i didnt choose my research right or something you however make it look so easy
Is there actually a set time limit you have to rescue Warfield? I never had that happening to me, even on Brutal, where I normally spent a lot of time getting ready to form the perfect army to push out with. Can anyone confirm this?
Alastor there’s a video of someone playing the whole campaign with only marines and units given to them during the missions. I know the UA-camrs name started with Rofl but idr the rest of his name
here is a video of Back on the Hyperion after Gates of Hell ua-cam.com/video/gBQ-Kn5m-Mw/v-deo.html and the following mission. cutscene - hydras burrow move?
He probably reloaded a save somewhere and forgot to mention that he did it. I think there might be a bug that makes it so replaying previous missions in the archives still gives you money. I remember it being a little fiddly (this is something that isn't fixed even in LotV, where you can replay previous missions and have all your upgrades carry back through time).

I didnt know that was an option
i love this mission so much it's one of the most fun in my opinion
Owen Durst same. Moderately challenging, very similar to multiplayer, emphasis on multitasking and macro
Same here! Like it's so good to see the Dominion for once begging for our assistance when they were calling us assholes

Damn Raynor's Units Are so Stressful to Rescue them

Can't wait for you to do Legacy once it comes out man!
Wraiths were designed to support Battlecruisers, maybe if they had brought some with them, they wouldn't have lost so many ships.

23:05 If that's not a Half-Life reference I don't know what is it.
I dont get it. :(
@jayborinoplays Ill watch this again and drink whenever i hear "thats soo many banelings" , btw good gameplay
i had to start a new campaign as i cant win this mission for nothing thinking i didnt choose my research right or something you however make it look so easy
All those deaths kinda hurt (in the beggining)

There's absolutely no time limit. I decided to clear the map in one of my playthrough, and total mission time was about an hour.
Дмитрий Хлебников Interesting. Exactly what I thought.
DudkiSC2 Lol this is good to know. I always knew you had a looong time, but not limitless, haha.
Дмитрий Хлебников lolz i did the same
Just imagine going to char with only marines and medics, talk about hell itself.

Thors are so huge
Odin is absolutely huge!
The storyline was great but damm even i did it in hard and still dont move my units that fast or react to the enemy attacks that fast
You rock
they should have vikings to assist the bc's

how the fuck did he get the bc shields?? I thought he spent all his money...
