- Correction on the steel, the whole time I was doing the review and testing I was thinking that this was 4116 steel which it is not. K110 is a similar steel to D2 which explains why I was so impressed by the performance. My apologies for the mix up.

The h1/h2 comparison vid would be more than welcome!
Received the H2 as a gift at Xmas with black g10 handle great knife.
Hey Kevin, - Great Review! I totally AGREE with you - LionSteel has such awesome VALUE for the money! They are not cheap knives, but the beautiful and quality materials, designs, fit/finish, quality leather sheath at the price point they offer is an excellent value! I especially love their fixed blades with wooden handles, crowned spines, and leather sheaths!
I'm really impressed whenever I see lionsteel equipment
I have the H1 and the M390 steel is excellent and the overall utility of the knife is fantastic as a belt EDC.
saying m390 is "excellent" is a vast understatement
Just wanted to say @knivesfast brought me to your channel. Always like to find other knife content to peruse. The Italians know how to put together nice pieces with good materials at reasonable prices. I agree good bang for the buck. Look forward to checking out the rest of your content.
When this was first announced, I made the comment on their Instagram that I would like to buy one of those sheathes for my M4 and they said it’s coming. Fingers crossed!
Since I decided to switch from folder to fixed last summer, the Lionsteel H1 has been my EDC knife. Same handle as the H2, but upswept sheep's foot blade. I was most worried about the karambit loop, but I was surprised at how useful it is for retention and leverage. It completely changed the way I think about grips and handles in a good way. Unlike you, I didn't like the sheath. I'm not anti-leather-sheath. I enjoy the sheath for example with my Lionsteel B40, which I carry around my acreage on a dangler, and wouldn't trade it for anything, but I find this leather sheath to be bulky and awkward on the draw. Instead, I've been using an aftermarket sheath from Armatus and it just hits the sweet spot. I can't think of one thing I would change from my current setup.
Mine should arrive by Monday! Thanks for the great video!
Just got my H1! Great piece!
I agree, Lionsteel should offer the scout or horizontal cary sheath for the M4. Enjoyable review.
Love my M3 Micarta in the Leather sheath from my Olive M3.. Micarta has a bit more 'reassuring heft' than the olive variant. Waiting on one of the last Viper Orions in Zirracote! Loving the Maniago made knives and have invested in Fox, FOX FKMD, Lionsteel, Maserin, Saturn Knives (Lionsteel made) and now Viper by Tecnocut... All worth way more than you pay!
Agree on the Italian Manufacturing 🎉
I have the m2m in mycarta I love this knife you should try it same sheath.
Like the lines of the h1 better than h2
Love the Italian Lionsteel Leather!
Anyone know if you can carry a knife like this in Michigan
Kizer Cabox would have been a great comparison too 🤙🏽
The Kizer Cabox ring position is in direct alignment with the handle and not really functional for retention. The Karambit style is far better with the offset ring.
I bought the H1 recently and love it. However the way the loops on the sheath sit on my belt in a left hand draw position stretched out the loop that's closest to the tang. That's not a bad thing, really I want to swap the two so it'll stretch the other one a little too, but the single torq tool isn't enough to remove them because I need to hold the other side while I unscrew it, or else they just spin. I can't tell if it's a T6 or T8 sized, and I can't find it listed.
Anyone know what size it is?
Thanks for your review. How quickly does it attach to your belt? It looks like you need to unscrew a couple of torx screws first.
no need for that just loop it onto your belt
Can someone explain what kidney carry is? I've never heard of that.
Rejoice, blade junkies!
No knife = no life. 😆💪🏼
To be clear, although you are Canadian, all the pricing you quote is in USD?
Yep the knife market is mostly US and nearly everything I buy is from the US
Cool
Why upload in 480p?
480p video in 2022. What a shame 👎
Would be nicer in a non black sheath.
