    Your videos are above and beyond what most other UA-cam ATC channels produce. Clear, concise, and informative with excellent production quality.

    An abundance of caution (declaring an emergency) is always beneficial - never know what systems may fail subsequent to the initial lightning strike. Great explanation as a precursor to what needed to happen.

    Dude, the quality here is so consistent and great. Easily could be a revival of mini-sodes from the early 00s on Discovery. Thank you for your hard work!

    These videos are best in class imo, the motion graphics are top notch, the narration is superb and the bonus info provided such as technical and follow up details really help.

    This channel is the absolute best in this field. The visualisations with the audio are in a league of their own. Hope you keep up the good work.

    Yessir, this is the channel for me. As a non pilot I need to understand what is happening and why it is happening this way. I don’t get that on other similar channels so I’m missing half of the incident.

    Loved the way ATC slotted him in neatly ahead of DAL1246.

    You can hear the pilots voice change once landed, I’m sure it felt good to have his passengers and crew on the ground safe. 🤗

    When in case of emergency ask yourself "what's the most that could happen?" then see how you instantly calm down.

      I've been quite busy for the last couple of months since my last video came out (partly making improvements to the ATV Visualiser software!), but I'm hoping to make some new videos not too long into 2024. Thanks for the support!

    I saw BCS1 for the aircraft type identifier (and BCS3 on other aircraft) then realized it meant Bombardier CSeries.
    Did the ICAO aircraft code not change when Airbus took over the program and renamed it to A220?

    Could it be due to the composite structure that it couldn't discharge properly?

    What software and/or processes are being used to make the visualizations? Even just the maps I could enjoy looking at.

    • @AirTrafficVisualised
      @AirTrafficVisualised  5 місяців тому

      The base map data is provided by Mapbox, which I apply custom styling to. I add custom aeronautical GIS data on top of that. Then everything to do with aircraft (icons and tags) and the captions, clock and most other overlays run in custom software that I wrote for the channel.

    I always hear the pilots being asked about fuel and passengers, which serves to distract them at an extremely critical moment. These airlines have to submit detailed flight plans right, and the plane is obviously monitoring its own fuel - in 2023 is it not possible to have this information available to ATC automatically?

    • @JimWhitaker
      @JimWhitaker 10 місяців тому

      Evidently not.

    • @99domini99
      @99domini99 10 місяців тому

      I’d say it wouldn’t take much for an aircraft to be able to communicate that automatically, however things with the FAA are always very slow.
      The reason ground needs to know souls on board is to count heads in case things to south, and fuel on board so they know how long the aircraft can stay airborne in case they need time and possibly as an indication for fire crew on the ground, again in case things go south.
      If pilots are not currently able to transmit that info, that’s alright. They just have to tell the tower to standby. The safety of the aircraft goes above all else after all.

    • @kennynolan736
      @kennynolan736 10 місяців тому

      @@99domini99 I understand the information is important, but in so many accidents you hear about the overwhelmingly high workload the pilots are faced with - it makes sense to me to minimise this as much as possible. Even if it only takes 5 seconds to tell ATC to stand by, why not save those 5 seconds?

    • @99domini99
      @99domini99 10 місяців тому

      @@kennynolan736 The tower might not know how busy the crew really is. The simple question from the tower can be negated by a "standby" to be answered later when more time is available.
      In this video, you can see that a lot of segments are sped up. Minutes pass by between some calls. The tower can't wait indefinitely with asking these questions.

    They would have to fly the plane by hand if everything is out...glad i am not on that flight,how many flights crash that close to the airport

    Silly. All they have to do is reboot each system.
