So someone asked me about split screen Red vs Green Ranger fight from MMPR/ Zyuranger but I was hesitant because why bother? I already compared it, but I'll do it but I'll add the 2010 version just because hehe. I know, I know many of you would like to napalm from your memory of the 2010 MMPR remake but it did happen lol. I think this was needed for sometime to really give you all a visual comparison of all the three versions during this specific fight.
Also quick note the audio for the MMPR on the left side your hearing is actually the 2010 remake lol sorry had to use it for the extension in some parts of the video. One more thing is that the 2010 had some minor issues with it being edited differently than the original 1993 version thus some parts were edited to synchronize with both versions.
Honestly I would like to do more comparisons with other official released languages for both Power Ranger and Super Sentai versions. Hmmm....

Still didn't think it was necessary for Disney to just "remake" MMPR with these cheesy 1960's Batman TV Show comic book effects. Just because the 1960's Batman TV show did it, doesn't mean that Power Rangers have to do the same thing. Especially since it was 2010 and a lot of the little kids who grew up watching MMPR, are now adults.
Anyways, enough of my little rant. Good job on the video.

Neo-Xgray87 Actually Alien Rangers is what almost killed the series completely. With many questions regarding why so many actors leaving plus some conflicts within the acting circles of MMPR. Kids replacing the main 6 for 10-12 episodes is not a very good move Saban. There's just so many questions that were made during Season 2 and 3.

I wonder why mmpr didn't film any Tommy vs Jason without uniform scenes... Both actors were trained martial artists and could've easily handled it.
The production of PR is notoriously cheap. They would do anything to save up money.
Probably couldn't match the area footage.

@@Hieillua extremely cheap and they didn't have to be. They were making money hand of fist. So not only were they cheap with the custumes (they could have just got the ones who made the ones in China or had a real designer on set) and they paid the actors poorly from what they have all said.
I love that in MMPR, Tommy was doing everything in his power to stop Jason from Morphin because he knew Jason would win.
Tommy had every advantage:
1) Dragon armor negates range
2) Dual wielding
3) His power coin was straight up stronger
Jason didn’t give a damn.
He also pieced up Goldar without Morphing.
Green may have been my favorite of the original power coins, but Jason was still the most badass Ranger.

I get it though. Tommy had already dropped the sword that was controlling him so it made sense for Jason to destroy it immediately rather than give that final blow, which would be excessive and unnecessarily violent in context.
I do understand why they cut it, but from a logical standpoint the Red Ranger's victory doesn't make sense, because the Green Ranger does a breakfall (flips forward and lands on the ground) for no apparent reason. From my perspective, Jason's disarming of Tommy's weapons does nor seem powerful enough to justify such a fall,, which makes Tommy appear to "tank out" (fall before he is thrown). Although I still think the breakfall in the Sentai/Zyuranger version seems a bit excessive, I think there is more justification for it.
Am I the only person who thinks Dragon Ranger is WAY better than the Green Ranger?

One thing i found surprising is that in the super sentai version, the zords have sentience and are able to function without them......but in the american version its completely the opposite.
It depends on the season, in some seasons the mecha are sentient beings in others they are just robots
MMPR, one minute the fight is in a rocky terrain, but when tommy wakes up he's in sand, like a beach 😂😂😂 poor editing.

Idk it sounds way more deep than Alpha just telling them that his mind got corrupted.
In ZyuRanger, Burai being The Warrior of Power, was the strongest one, but with that evil sword, it mase his attacks more powerful BUT his stamina/endurance low, making Geki take him out with three direct slashes

The commparation transition on the american cersion reminds me the CD-Roms loading the game scenes.
I love that in the 2010 version they couldn't help but to butcher the show with cheese flash scenes that not only look bad but kill the pace of the scene.
The thing about all this is, Super Senti is for older teen/adults while power rangers is for children/young teen (well that's what the show was made for, Anyone CAN watch it). But that's why Power Rangers was toned down, but it was aimed for younger people unlike super sentai

Ignoring the pop up affects the 2010 versions did. It’s not much of a remaster. It’s just tinted slightly. Though it does make the green rangers color look better in my opinion

watching the Zyurangers is a bit sad that the " gods" where turned in " just machines", this make their reaction like " lol I win it let me make my dino robot dance " instead of the real reaction of " I did it!" hahah

I just love how, in the MMPR versions, the Green Ranger does a breakfall for no apparent reason just before the Red Ranger destroys the Sword of Darkness. (Yes, I know he hits both weapons the Green Ranger is holding with the sword he throws, but I would have expected the Green Ranger to either have the weapons knocked out of his hands or stagger backward, not flip forward into a breakfall). It is clear some footage was edited out, and it is neat to see what the footage was. I understand why they edited that footage out; they don't want kids to try it. However, I think it would be neat to have an "uncensored" version of MMPR fot the adult fans where they put the footage in.

Why wasn't the last scene in zyuranger where the red ranger gain the upper hand was used in the american version. It would have flowed more accurate than Tommy just flipping over.
The main reason why was because if you say in Zyuranger Burai was getting slashed and beat beat up by Geki. That scene was deemed too violent for the episode so they had to take that out.

Ugh. Disney's 2010 MMPR remake was so god-awful. I can't understand why they decided to do it.
This scene was a good example of how Zyuranger was light years ahead of MMPR. Such an epic duel between Geki and Burai. Brother against brother. It's the build up to this moment from the previous few episodes that really gives this scene so much impact, though. Awesome.
MechaG2 I know I'm late, but apparently RPM toy sales flopped the year before and Disney didn't want to put the money into another series. So instead they tried to recoup some of the loss by rebroadcasting MMPR and attempting to cash in with a new line of toys for it before Saban bought it back.
I get the fact that Disney wanted to repair the first season but they way they handled it with the comic book graphics was a terrible idea. Especially since in the past, when they did re air the first season before 2010 they did it without the graphics and it was perfect.

Honestly I prefer how the zords were utilized in the Power Rangers version over the Zyuranger version. In the latter the mech battle is more of a sideshow whereas in Power Rangers having Jason and Tommy piloting their Zords keeps the mech battle as part of the main showdown between the two Rangers. The fact that we rarely see the individual dinozords fighting makes the showdown between Jason and the Tyrannosaurus vs Tommy and the Dragonzord that much more impactful.

How is the pink one in the robot cockpit if it flies on to connect last? So funny watching this as an adult trying to make sense of it..
remember before the Megazord transforms it all ways goes into Tank Mode first (thats when all the Zords come together to create a moving vehicle). In that time all Rangers are all ready together in the main cockpit (head). Then the Tank Mode is transformed to the Megazord.
Think for Yourself The pink pterodactyl zord is in the back of the tank mode behind the tyrannosaurus head while its leg cannons combine with the mastodon arms to become the arm cannons of the tank mode. When switching to megazord mode, the cannons are stored in the back and the pterodactyl changes to chest plate. Watch closely.
