- The Most Noble Order of the Garter is an order of chivalry founded by Edward III of England in 1348. It is the most senior order of knighthood in the British honours system, outranked in precedence only by the Victoria Cross and the George Cross. The Order of the Garter is dedicated to the image and arms of Saint George, England's patron saint.

Yes, The Order Of The Garter, I love those long robes, and how distinguished it makes them all look. I made myself one from A.I. & I just changed up hat style with A.I. And made the tassel shorter and the Plume and Ostrich White Feather and a few inches shorter. I love Princess Kate in her Fashion and Me and her have the same tatse in Clothes Fashion and especially A Fashionista Hat. USA..👑🇬🇧💯❤️

Officers of the Order of the Garter. They include the Secretary, the Registrar (Dean of Westminster), the Usher (Black Rod), and the Prelate (Bishop of Winchester).
@@theendlessking3196 Thanks much. The officers are not Knights or Ladies of the Garter themselves, or are they?
@@d14551 The Chancellor, who does not wear the red robes the others were, is a member of the order and therefore wears the robes of a knight. All officers wear special badges, and some carry other insignia. The Chancellor carries a purse with the seal of the order and black rod carries a black rod.

@@theendlessking3196, the post is actually called 'Register', not 'Registrar', in the Order of the Garter. The remaining officers are the Chancellor (Duke of Abercorn), who, as another comment has mentioned, *is*, these days at least, a member of the order, and the King of Arms, who is the chief herald himself, Garter Principal King of Arms.
