Please look at buying a nas you could save so much money! If you use a nas and a VPN you can access your files anywhere

You know you can build/buy your own home server, and access it all over the world!

oh my, GO BUY A NAS I understand having a cloud back up is an important part of data redundancy, but you could buy a nas and use a service like backblaze, which is cheaper but it is slower but it intended to be a back up and not "high" availability (have fun telling me why im dumb fellow commenters)

In Russia I pay for 5Tb cloud storage 9$ per year. lol
The speed, organisation and so on one of the best in the world. I guess better or the same as Dropbox.
25Tb cloud cost you about 50$ per year. Not a joke.

Storage is wild expensive because it's the easiest way to milk the consumer. We should be having reliable 100TB external SSDs by now lol

We should at least have reliable portable hdds at this point, but every portable HDD has a life expectancy of 3-5 years. I'd trust a 15 year old laptop HDD more than the WD passports or the toshiba canvios. Lame technology progression
