I think it can be more clear if we define Cycle time - is the time required for single process. Control time - is the total time of critical path of all process (For continues flow process is the highest time among the process) Throughput time is the time fro RM + CT + Dispatch
Good morning sir, Your all vedios are very impressive. Easy to understand U make things so simpler for us. The work u do is appreciated!! God bless u Sir 😊🙏
All videos are quite impressive and easy to understand. I read & study so many things on internet but I have found your videos are really extraordinary. Thanks to you.
CAN YOU PLEASE ANSWER, I got one question in exam: A product goes through milling and grinding process. Milling takes 10 minutes. Then the operator takes 5 minutes break to go to washroom. Then grinding takes 12 minutes. So what's line cycle time and lead time? Do we include 5 min break in cycle time, as cycle time includes waiting time between process as well.
the example shows the timeline for cycle time, which is incorrect. cycle time = processing time of the bottleneck station only. For example, if there are three operations, with processing times 3, 4 and 5 minutes. Here, operation 3 has the longest processing time. So, operation 3 is the bottleneck, then cycle time is the processing time per unit of operation 3 = 5 minutes. So, cycle time is not the sum of processing times of three operations, but the processing time of bottleneck operation only.
While defining Lead time, you said it is the time from order to dispatch. But in the example, lead time is being defined as the time from order received till received by customer. Isn't that condractory?

Dear sir , Kindly make a video which include calculation of take time cycle time lead time through time operation ratio with an mathematical example for more clearity . No doubt this video is also full of knowledge able things
Good explanation. My one question: cycle time doesn't include RM receiving but does it include moving RM from storage to the first machining process facility?
I really thought this was a good video explaining the concepts. I took my green belt final and the professor said all my process map and value stream mapping calculations were wrong. What am I missing.
Thank you so much for the wonderful explanation throughout the video and wonderful summary via time-based arrangement of Lead time, Cycle time, Takt time and Throughout time. My tiny suggestion to you sir, in the last picture please mention an note, that this figure is valid for order to make to delivery process. Because, the order entry point of amazon is packing and dispatch. In amazon case the lead time will not cover the throughput time and cycle time. Incase I am wrong please let me know. Once again thank you so much for the wonderful lecture.
Hii sir good evening pls guide me as am food tech professional Can your described 10 book about lean manufacturing helpful in my fields as am pursuing my career in production dept in food industry n willing to strength my carrier in this dept pls sir revert as am waiting you answering...

I think it can be more clear if we define
Cycle time - is the time required for single process.
Control time - is the total time of critical path of all process (For continues flow process is the highest time among the process)
Throughput time is the time fro RM + CT + Dispatch
Thanks for your input.
