6:20 Uhm... I think the Sun takes about 200 million years to complete an orbit around the Milky Way. Guess the Sun is still a youngster of about 22 galactic years :)
225-250 million is the current estimate. Though I wonder whether that will change with the solar system being located a bit closer toward the middle of the galaxy than originally thought.
Hahahahahaha, loved the ending! Whoop whoop! Congrats to you Eric for getting monetized!! Watching every ad for you! 🤑🤑 so so happy for you! You deserve it!
Eric! I like your analysis and am inclined to agree. That's a new one for me...procession of the earth in the arm of the milky way. When you said we were on the other side, spark. That energy "Planet 9/10" (I'm a Pluto fan myself), is said to be behind the sun with an orbit opposite from our visible planets. So you may be on to something.
OMG! Congratulations on being monetized! You and your channel deserve it. How did youu become associated with Simon? It was through Top Tenz that I found your channel.
@@ScienceGetthe first few months he'd mention you as author of a script and plug your channel, it wasn't appearing when I'd search it. Luckily it eventually popped up
Whenever our solar system passes the equator of the galaxy, their has been a serious comet shower. The period of the up-down motion of the solar moving is 55 ~ 60 million years.
Wait...nasa quietly redefined Pluto as a planet? Yes! Nice! I wonder if that's because planetary experts weren't consulted in it's ouster. That's like if a group of primary care physicians got together and decided the little toe was too problematic so they changed the text books without consulting podiatrists.
@@ScienceGet not a damn thing probably because he got overruled. I follow startalk. Hopefully he will say something there or tweet. But I need to read why they brought it back because the three rules they set to define a planet says it can’t be one, namely you must have cleared and be the largest thing in your orbit… they’d of had to over ruled that or something. But I’m damn sure eyes on NDT!!! 👀 👀 👀
And there still appears to be a lot of debate on whether or not it has cleared its neighboring region. www.forbes.com/sites/jamiecartereurope/2021/02/15/yes-pluto-is-a-planet-says-nasa-scientist-at-the-site-of-its-discovery-91-years-ago-this-week/?sh=2b9f7f5368df
@@ScienceGet yes that’s what I read and it hasn’t cleared it’s orbit. Which is why I think they are saying dwarf. New set of rules. But it does seem to be active according to new horizons and has an atmosphere, it should be…something.
What do you think? Does the Earth have a cyclic heartbeat that relates to extinction events? Does it involve Planet 9?

So I've only got 20 million years to get my affairs in order? Damn...
You deserve 1mill+ subs Eric! Always great content👍 congrats on getting monetized!
I'm working on it!

I've written for them for a bit. :) And thank you, I'm looking forward to what this channel can become in the future. Thanks for all your support!
How did you become associated with Simon?
Abandon all hope! The end is nigh.
Only 20 million years left!
We're going to take matters into our own hands.
Humanity says, "hold my beer."
wait NASA did to Pluto what now...
Simon Whistler introduced me to you. I'm looking forward to anything else you have coming
Welcome aboard!

Not sure if I would call it a heartbeat, maybe a deathbeat would be more appropriate.
I even heard of gamma ray blasts, which could be a possibility if the star at stake would be identified.
What happens if the Earth watches a scary movie though? Does the extinction event come faster?
Was there a mass extinction after the extinction of the dinosaurs, 66 million years ago?

@@ScienceGet ahh they classified it as a dwarf planet that hasn’t cleared its neighboring region. Interesting.
