So for the last months, the Bose Smart Soundbar has been my go to soundbar and its been my favorite soundbar to recommend. But today we’re going to see how both the JBL Bar 300 and Sony S2000, two relatively new soundbars for 2023, compare to the Bose Smart Soundbar 600. Overall, all three of these soundbars are very different from one another, so lets see which one is right for you.

i have both sony and jbl speakers but youre right the bose sounds more open ann more clear
I finally went for the JBL 300 and it's very good! I regret not going with the Bose with its spatial up firing speakers for full Atmos effect, but the 300 has a virtual Atmos feature which is good enough. Not quite Bose, but for the money the 300 won. Plus its bass is good for a sound bar with no extra outside subwoofer. For our condo it's sufficient without our neighbors buggin' out. Peace...🙏♐
Great Video, thank you, just a question, I have recently bought S2000 and I have connected my TV (ARC) with this soundbar. On the soundbar ( HEC ) app, I can see Dolby Atmos and sometimes on Netflix, 5.1 Dolby Atmos is visible. For this I have changed the sound output to PassThrough. Is this the best setting or I can leave the TV output to 2.1channel ? What was your best setting from TV ( I have ARC and not eARC ). thank you. Cheers.

Great video, I've seen many from you and love the comparisons. But I still can't decide between Bose 600 and Sony S2000. Bose sounds much better with voices. But can't you increase the volume of just the centre channel on the Sony? I despise modern films where you can't hear what the hell anyone is saying, and I always blame the film and the mixing (although they should do a far better job at stereo than they do) So will I hear better with the Sony or get the Bose? Currently Bose is £100 more

Great video. Which soundbar would you recommend for watching movies on low volume, but to be able to hear the dialogues clearly? I was leading toward Sony's until you mentioned the dialogues on it are not clear when listening on low volume.

Great video, as always. Why have you not reviewed any LG soundbars? In the past, I've had Philips TAB6305, Sonos Beam 2, Bose soundbar 600, Philips TAB8507 and finally LG S75Q. It is by far the best soundbar I've ever had. And it costs so much less than Sonos and Bose. And for that price, it comes with a subwoofer. It will be nice for you to look into LG. They might surprise you.
Honestly, it’s cause of time. I wanted to include them but we can only cover so many things. This is why I’m pushing the hats and shirts. So that I can hire more people

What I can tell listening to it through youtube processed audio and some low end €40,- wired sennheiser earbuds, the Bose sounds kinda hollow and tinny, piercing highs. The JBL has the punchiest bass, but doesn't shine anywhere else, the Sony sounds the most balanced but lacks clarity. Would you say this is accurate or did I completely miss the boat here?
Bose is boss, clear than ever, i m bose fan since they introduced Bose headphones with NOKIA N91 in year 2007

Bought a Bose 600, was dead on arrival returned it and got the JBL 300 instead
Coming from a Bose Companion 2.1, I can't imagine ever having a TV speaker set without a sub.
Sony is saying when the new series of green bars come out they want to add airplay and chrome cast support. And with the app being updatable it will be coming.
It’s unacceptable that at that price it isn’t already included. Game changer for users who want the best wireless audio experience.

I recently purchased the S2000 and it’s going back for more than one reason. After doing a little research, I opted for the Bose 600. Wish I had seen your review before making the initial purchase but after your review I know now I made the right choice! However, there is one thing regarding the Bose app. I read that it’s mainly a music app. Does it include any TV settings other than dialogue? Will be receiving it in a few days. Thanks so much!
I believe it has a bass setting you can adjust on the app but won’t know if effective until I receive it. I’ll have to test the functions that I don’t like and consider flaws on the HT-S2000 with the Sony. Right now I’m leaning towards Sony but we’ll see.
@@briandprice1154 Is it the Bose that you have? If so, some say it gets too harsh at higher volumes and no bass. Of course this has me concerned especially the harshness. Can you adjust the bass for TV from the music app? Also, are there modes you can change for TV such as dialogue? I do like the app for the HT-S2000 with the different controls for TV but it’s got significant lag when changing modes especially when streaming, it will pause the video or take you out of the app entirely. It gets frustrating.
@@briandprice1154 Sony Surround? I have the Sound Field selected on the app. Is that what you mean? I didn’t find a Sony Surround on the app.
I have another control selected which is the Sony/Vertical Surround Engine. This may be it.
@@briandprice1154 I went back to the sound tests on this video. I had to listen very carefully to notice the differences. Seems that the S2000 produces more of a midrange sound among the 3. Better than the JBL but more mellow than the Sony. It was pleasant for me. I’ve continued just now reading more reviews on Bose. Seems there are several people complaining about connectivity issues having to reset frequently. That has not been a problem with the Sony. Bose also seems to produce a pop noise when switching modes. However, the Sony has quite a delay when switching. Evidently there are more cons with the Bose than initially thought. The app is also a little short on TV features as compared to the Sony. Once I receive the Bose, I’ll test it for a couple days and make my decision. Thanks for your help! It’s also encouraged me to do a little more research!
Hi, you compared jbl 300 with bose 600. I watched the comparison between jbl 300 and 500, and I found the jbl 500 sounds much more better and I loved the base coming from it. What do you think between jbl 500 and bose 600? In my country, the jbl 500 cost much less than bose 600. Thanks alot for your advice.
Keep in mind the jbl is often on sale at almost half msrp. In which case the jbl would be the better value. Right now I can get the bar 300 for $400 vs the Sony at $650 and the Bose at $700. NZ$.
If you compare jbl 300 and bose 300 that is a fair fight..

I think there are voice mode, surround field mode, and night mode.
Is it possible to use voice mode and surround field mode together?
Not Possible and You Don't Need The Voice Mode. Mids are Pretty Clear.

Hello. The question is for you - have you tested the Sony HT-S2000 and JBL BAR 300 soundbars. Write which one has bigger bass, high frequencies and which one sounds louder? Thank you.
S2000 Has More Bass Than Any Standlalone Soundbar Except Sennhesiser Ambeo Soundbar.

I'm getting sick of everything needing apps, just wait til the companies stop supporting the products and the apps get unlisted. Just have a decent manual set up and the products will never be obsolete. Don't be a dimwit and buy into a "planned obsolescence" product.
