Personally, I believe in taking care of myself, and a balanced diet and a rigorous exercise routine. In the morning, if my face is a little puffy, I'll put on an ice pack while doing my stomach crunches. I can do a thousand now. After I remove the ice pack I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower I use a water activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub, and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply an herb-mint facial masque which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an after shave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.
There is an idea of a Patrick Bateman, some kind of abstraction, but there is no real me, only an entity, something illusory, and though I can hide my cold gaze and you can shake my hand and feel flesh gripping you and maybe you can even sense our lifestyles are probably comparable: I simply am not there.
This is my routine 1. facial cleanser 2. hylauranic serum 3, moisturizer 4, peptide under eye cream 5. Sunscreen Nighttime: 1. gentle cleanser 2. retinol. ARAZLO 3. moisturizer Twice a week I use an exfoliating toner,
Great stuff! Thanks Ashley! Been following you for 5 years now, took me from, in my words, "dressing like a 'shlub'" to, in other people's words, "One of the best dressed in the office". All I did was take my ill fitting jeans and chinos to a seamstress, bought some button up oxfords (on sale $30 JCREW), quality belt (on sale Allen Edmonds), and quality recraftable shoes (big part of the investment but they still look new 5 years later, on sale Allen Edmonds, their shoes with slight defects. Save so much $$$) and bam!! I'm good to go. Follow your skin routine advice and it's weird how woman notice that right away. Also they want to hear what I do, like there is a genuine interest. Weird part it's not exactly a "masculine" conversation but they are so interested and when I'm done their eyes are all lit up. Funny, I would have never thought, "male skin care" would be a sort of hook to get people to just sit and talk with you and have good conversation. Anywho, much appreciated. Have a great week, hope Dorian is doing much better now. 🎨🌊🤙
Even tho i cannot afford most of the things you suggest.. i still love to watch your videos bcz.. a. THE MEMES b. your positive style of presentation 😊👌
“But Ashley, I already got some moisturizer that I put under my eyes.” No Ash, we don’t talk like that lol. Great video. Keep ‘em coming. Love your sense of humor.
8:01 I did have my dermatologist tell me that at my age, near 50, I was fine using a good body lotion just as good as an expensive dedicated face lotion.
Hi Ashley, you've helped over the last 3 years, I'm not quite there yet but I don't dress as randomly as i used to. Can I ask do you know of your equivalent to women? A womenswear celebrity stylist with a UA-cam channel you could recommend? Greatly appreciated
Oh boy, I tought this is gonna be outdated ... and it is.. i am in skincare industry for almost 4 years, here are my toughts... cleanser great told some good stuff was there... Banish.. naah.. ill never do invasing needles my my self... Eye creams so not true... you dont need them unless they treat like retinol or caffeine... ypu can use moisturiser around eyes and it will work fine Spf is yes yes yes thats all true So cleanser Moisturizer and spf are all youll need if you want to treat get something for it... rules for cleanser apply for moisturizer try no fragrance And ohh all natural skincare doesnt exist... its just marketing ... overall great video great tips with pillowcases ... its basicly good way to start
Be very careful when micro needling. You really don't need to do it every night and also it's very easy to overdo it. You are literally poking holes in your skin, it's a somewhat extreme treatment.
Sorry, but I'm going to have to trust the dermatologist whose channel I follow. Eye creams are useless. Just use your normal moisturizer and be gentle when applying it to the thinner skin around your eyes.
Ask women in retirement homes - Who has the least wrinkles, older men or older women? They wont lie - it is older men. That's right the advice of washing the natural oils out of your skin every day has a cost penalty that will do the opposite of what your trying to do by having a skin care routine. Do take good care of your skin - but DON"T wash your natural oils off your face! The skin care product producers have a business to sell you the best things they can make. Try this treat these products lie supplements at a health food store. do your research and use only what your body needs.
Your cherry-picked a wrong example here. If you go to an Asian retirement home, the answer is guaranteed the opposite cause western women have cared far less for their skin and a lot of trends like tanning actively damages them. To our original point, you are right, washing out natural oils alone is bad that’s why you are supposed to moisturize with scientifically backed ingredients and for your type of skin. Those are base steps, if you want to take it a step further, there is periodic exfoliating to further clean, toners to even out skin colour and reduce irritation similarly to aftershave.

I get asked this all the time and since I only work in menswear, I honestly don't have any reccs for you. Sorry!
i am new here, i just found this channel right now
What do y’all think about Tiege Hanley. I like it but I got nothing to compare it too. Idk if I’m getting ripped off or not.
Can we get an updated best fitting t shirts please?
Where does shaving (daily) fit into this routine? I feel like that's a big step (most of my face!) that you missed.

Great Video!!! Question should sunscreen be applied after moisturizer or before?
After, always after.
Thanks Ashley!
Fanboyed a little bit when the picture my boy Hyram showed up. :) Thanks for the vid, Ashley, this is a favorite subject of mine.
Yes, but Hyram would disagree with a lot of this.
I have been using Kiels face wash and facial fuel…great product.
💯
Hyram says it’s a terrible product.
Personal favorite of my husbands and many clients.
Thank you very much
I’ve been using Geologie for the last two years based on one of your videos. Do you no longer recommend them. Just curious. Thanks, Fred
If Geologie has been working for you then does it matter if she still recommends them or not?
Thanks

What are your thoughts on Patrick Bateman's "Morning Routine" (American Psycho) 👀
Be very careful when micro needling. You really don't need to do it every night and also it's very easy to overdo it. You are literally poking holes in your skin, it's a somewhat extreme treatment.
I have under eye bags and they won't go ( genetic reasons) any tips to rock them with confidence?!
Don't care what people think.

here I thought washing the face itself was the only treating needed

That’s a quarter, not a dime.
Hyram reckons eye cream is a glorified moisturizer and there is no point for it.
Technically true. But the consistency matters!
I learned that the sun is a bastard.
It is specially knowing that it doesnt matter who you are sun will catch you if you dont take care of yourself
I can see you have no idea about skincare and you are just reading the script the company gave you... Many claims in this video are just false.
Biased. Stop it.
