Thank you! I have a similar problem in a REALLY old house. I was close but Just couldn't arrive ant the idea of tacking up a straight edge just OFF the angle so I could FILL the crooked angel. Genius !
Is it ok to apply the straight edge overtop the existing finished space, if I want to straighten out my 45° angles? Or will that cause some sort of issue, Overlapping tapes?
I really like your Videos and I like your no nonsense approach but I tell ya sometimes I wish you would edit them because there to long to get to the point. Well it's early for me to haha thats why I had to skip over most of it. :)
@@THEDRYWALLDOCTOR1 I'm not sure I understand what you mean by the edge. It was hard to see what you did in the video. What did you screw up to the ceiling. Was it a straight edge or the flex tape?
Don’t ask me, I don’t give a damn, Next stop is Vietnam; And it’s five, six, seven, Open up the pearly gates, Well there ain’t no time to wonder why, Whoopee! we’re all gonna die.
Im a drywall finisher and I still dont understand exactly what you did here Ray. Ive faked lots of corners tho. Seems like all I do is fix carpenter remodel massacres 😓

That's perfectly fine as long as there's no loose flaking stuff under the mud
Hey Doc - Sure would have liked to see you fill in the deep section with your LEFT HAND! "Do Your Best, Caulk The Rest" - I'm stealing that one!
Great job Doc, we gonna get to see it when it’s painted?
no sorry
That's four inches, eh? Hmmmm. For YEARS I've been telling my wife that's SIX!
What did you use for the straight edge?
A piece of vinyl trim wasn't good
@@THEDRYWALLDOCTOR1 Thanks.

All the mud you’ve been catching, I thought you might be trying out for the Cubs.
You don't have to embed the tape in mud like you do with paper tape?
No just the edge

Quinn Hooper oh my god! 100% the same here! Not fun. But gives you a good smile when you know you’re okay!
